Pullman Vina del Mar San Martin

The resort was situated in a perfect part of the city. It is right on the beach and near all the craft vendors along the wharf that are very friendly. When I read the reviews about this hotel I was a little nervous booking this property because there were multiple write-ups that were not too positive. I have no idea why these were written? The place is perfect! The staff is top notch, the rooms are spacious and very clean and the rooftop bar and pool are very nice. The lobby of the hotel is about 2 minutes walk to the beach. I didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked like a classy place. I would not hesitate one bit to stay here again or recommend this property to anyone.

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. It was exactly what we wanted.

It is a newly renovated hotel, so the facilities are nice and modern. However, there are a few negatives. For one, it appears that the hotel offers rooms with twin beds only: double-bed rooms are at the upper floor, for a higher pay (or so it is on booking.com). Then, the pool on the roof is extremely narrow: it can hardly fit more than one or maximum two persons swimming at a time. Additionally, and quite strangely, the plates at the breakfast buffet are extremely small, of the size used for serving side bread in restaurants: one can hardly fit much on them, inevitably remaining with a strange feeling that this is a way for the hotel to discourage filling. (Larger plates are available, but only if you ask). All in all, a nice modern hotel, but with the above things quite distracting.

The location was fantastic. Near restaurants, bars, the beach, attractions. Not far from Valparaiso and the sand dunes. The view from the seaview room was very good especially from a higher floor. Also liked that there was an open staircase that could be used apart from the elevators. The rainshower was nice! Breakfast was good enough to start the day. The best part was being able to cross the road to the beach and watch the sunset.

For a hotel in this category we expected facial tissue in the bathroom and coffee/tea making facilities. The bathroom shower design is nice but water kept leaking out into the bathroom.

The room was very spacious and the view was fantastic. Right in the centre of town, so close to everything (Restaurants/shopping/supermarkets/Beach). Absolutely exceptional considering the price. Had originally booked the Sheraton about a kilometre away, but this was half the price. So glad I changed my mind. Reception staff advised on transfers/tours which were excellent and well priced.

We had a sea view room and it was gorgeous. The room was so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious (it was better maintained on our first morning compared to our second though). The bar prices are very reasonable for such a nice hotel and we overall really enjoyed our time here. The gym is also fantastic!

I feel that the care of the rooftop could be a little better- nearly of the furniture has some bird poo on it which is quite off putting!

staff wasn’t very clear with the use of room card and the staff at the door was a bit rude asking us if we were passengers, saying to use to use or room card to open the automatic door of the place ( despite the fact that most of the time we didn’t need it because the door opened it self) space and facilities in the room doesn’t worth it for the price

Was a wonderful stay from checking in to the last day. All the help was very friendly and accommodating. We were delighted with the comfortable bed and pillows, the room was quiet. The breakfast was delish, close to the beach, restaurants, and the grocery store, within easy walking distance.

Location to the beach and surrounding attractions, rooms clean and smart if quite compact.

I considered it quite expensive and rooms quite small - noise from roof top bar meant I had to move to lower floor. This was accommodated without fuss and on the 6th floor was much quieter.

Amazing Staff - specially Macarena, that gave us a great welcome and spoke Portuguese with us. Incredible breakfast, super comfortable and clean rooms. Close to very good restaurants and only a 10min walk from Estacion Miramar (in which you can take the subway to Valparaiso up to Estacion Puerto and then back for only 2.500pesos a two-way ticket).

In the bathroom, there is only half of a glass door. That causes the bathroom to get half flooded if you turn on the shower all the way. Maybe a full glass door would help to keep the bathroom dry.

Great location overlooking the ocean. Rooftop bar. Good bath towels. Comfortable bed. Excellent bicycles available for rent.

Breakfast too expensive. Needs better cleaning under the bed and in hallways. Shower leaves too much water on the bathroom floor.
