Hotel de l'Horizon

Room was new, nice and cozy. Bunk beds were fun for kid and appreciated, gives privacy to parents. Breakfast was simple nice, having it outside is great, may need more staff to replenish. Pool was quiet and so zen with trees around. Close to Sutton village. Fire pit outside is a nice touch.

Property maintenance 4 wheeler driving in front of windows in AM. It seems there was a tennis court before, would be nice to have it again. Pool terrace was not ready - I know they are still renovating as newish owners. Mold may become an issue with water touching wood on floor in pool area. Saw a larger crack in pool wall too. Corridor felt a bit like a school corridor so could be a bit more lively. Knocking at door at door to do cleaning services and we forgot to put Do not disturb sign.

Location, clean,

The reception girl who did our check in on Oct 03 and check out on Oct 04 is very nice and help. Because we forgot our cellphone chargers at hotel, so we called hotel and went back hotel on Oct 05 to get them. We had very bad experience with another reception girl on duty. She did not want to help, just say she know nothing. It took us a lot effort to get our chargers back, which were inside a draw under reception desk.

Everything. The location was the best. We stayed in the winter and the snowshoe trails were basically a 30 second walk from our doorstep (part of centre plein air de Sutton) for which we had free access with our stay. We were in chalet 14 and did trail L to D. It seemed like the hotel tried to book most people in chalets on that side where access to trails was close (to left of main road). The trails were beautiful, fun, and not too difficult and really did need snowshoes. The chalet was clean and cozy, the small kitchen functioned well for the 2 of us (would be crowded with 4 adults but do-able, great for a family with 2 or 3 kids), and the bed was pretty comfortable. Check in was contactless and easy and we loaded up our sled in the parking lot to bring our stuff to the chalet, felt very canadian. It was a great place to bring our dog and get away, while feeling safe and enjoying the winter in these covid times.

The ONLY thing we can complain about is that we stayed in a chalet, run by huttopia in the summer and by horizon in the winter I guess, and there are small nails in the floors that need to be nailed down on the main floor. We kept catching our socks on them and had to walk very carefully barefoot.

Comfortable & clean rooms. Tasty continental breakfast with good options in a spacious eating area with an outdoor deck available. We were traveling by bike ad they were able to store the bikes during our stay.

The room, bathroom, and especially the quality bed were very satisfactory. Staff was very friendly and welcoming Good size warm swimming pool was a bonus

A fridge in the room would be useful. Only one electric plug for electric cars in the parking, it would be a great idea to have more of that.

Room was lovely. Bathroom updates clean and well Stacked with products. Breakfast continental buffet all you can eat was delicious

We were in town for a concert so location was a bit out of the way but it would have been great if I wanted to go hiking or skiing

As an American traveler with limited French-speaking abilities, the staff were very patient and accommodating during check in. Super friendly staff, cozy and clean room.

it was only for one night. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. Big inside pool. We didn't know about the spa but it's ok.
