Perfectly located. 3 blocks off the main thoroughfare. Room (there are 4 of them) are large and spacious. Bathroom looked to be updated in the last few years. Host was incredibly friendly with his "Welcome home" when we arrived. Breakfast was incredible. Quebec is quite expensive, food wise, so unless you like to skip breakfast or have a bagel & coffee kind of thing, get the breakfast. I've stayed in the Frontenac before and like many old hotels the lobby & dining areas are incredible, but the rooms small and lacking. The rooms here were much nicer.

I honestly can't think of anything.

Remember, you are booking in a B&B located in ancient Quebec City with all its Charme of ancient buildings. You might not find all the amenities of a modern motel in your room. But all the necessities are available: large room, with en suite bath and WC, working desk and chairs (could benefit from stronger light bulbs) and a coach to relax, TV, etc. Don't look for a tea pot or coffeemaker: there is none. However, the hosts will most likely accommodate your desires for beverages. Most importantly, don't forget to contact the hosts in advance if you like to join the breakfast table. We missed it the first day and regretted to start the day without freshly baked croissants, nut-fruit-yoghurt dish, deliciously tart-sweet bread pudding, or what else the hostess created for the day. If you arrive in the mood of "to Grandmother's House We go ...." you are in the right place.

Lighting could benefit from an upgrade, like a higher wattage in desk and ceiling lamps.

Honestly, I loved everything. They had the most wonderful art on the walls, every time I walked through I saw something new and interesting, I work for a fine arts museum so it was an unexpected pleasure to enjoy. The location was so perfect, great value for your stay! You’re in the thick of everything, AND they offer private parking (small fee) for the entirety of your stay. That saved us loads of time, money and energy trying to park around Quebec City. The staff was incredible, so helpful, kind and personable! Lastly, if there was one souvenir I wanted to take home with me from Quebec City, it would have been the rain shower in our bathroom… oh my gosh, it was SO nice, especially after a long day of exploring a beautiful city!

Nothing, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and croissants. The location couldn't have been better, only 3-4 minutes from Chateau Frontenac. Our room was spotlessly clean, the sheets were very soft, the bed comfortable, and the temperature was good. It was pretty romantic to sleep in a canopy bed for the first time! We loved the clawfoot bathtub and took full advantage of it! We appreciated the historical background of the house and it's connection to the the owner. Francis, Valerie and Analise were warm, welcoming, and helpful.

After seeing photos of the breakfasts, I had thought there might be a bit more variety - maybe some crepes, pancakes, or French toast, But it was a good breakfast with a good choice of basics - eggs, yogurt, cereal, toast, fruit, and of course, croissants.

The place is quite old and cozy. Location is very good. Breakfast is very good and varied. The attention of the owner and staff is excellent. It needs some improvements but it served the purpose of my stay. It has 3 floors and no elevator. If you have trouble going up and down stairs, it is not recommended for you.

There is no parking. If you rent a car, you cannot leave it on the street and must pay for additional parking in a private place to store the car. The place needs some improvements such as: better beds, clean carpets, among other things.

An 1888 mansion tastefully restored and updated in a location that was quiet and convenient in old Quebec…one of the best properties that I have ever stayed in…the host was available when necessary and I wish we would have had time try one of the breakfasts..

For those that want history with updated convenience do not expect a Hilton experience, but I do prefer lodging with onsite management/owners…nothing wrong with service here, but just a personal preference.

The place is amazing. The interior decoration and style of the rooms makes you feel the old Quebec better. I think the library room we booked made our trip more memorable. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff were friendly.

The building opposite the hotel is undergoing renovations. It is not critical for weekends. But on weekdays, workers start working very early and very loudly. Parking. Due to the fact that there is only a couple of cars parking next to the building, we had to leave ours in the city parking lot 15 minutes walk from the hotel. This is also not a big problem, since it is possible to unload things from the car near the entrance, and then park the car.

Period property, excellent location in the old town. Good quality breakfast. Good mobility is needed to get to the property as it is at the highest point of the old town.

Towels not changed in a three day stay. One of the spare pillows in need of a wash. Room was a little rough around the edges regarding quality of finish. A connecting door to the next room (not listed in room description) meant you could hear everything next door.

The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of all the sights of Old Quebec City and restaurants. The hostess was delightful and the breakfasts were a smorgasbord of offerings.

Parking was extra and in a garage a couple of blocks away with no guarantee of a spot. However, the hostess gave great instructions for getting there and we didn't have any trouble parking even though we were there during peak season while there was a music festival going on.

Excellent location - easy to spend the day on foot and get back to the hotel and change for dinner. The street was quiet which was an unexpected surprise given how close it is to the main attractions. The owner and house keeper were very nice and provided a good breakfast each morning.

It was hard to keep the sun out in the morning but it was abnormally warm when we were there so most people won't need the ac on in the morning.
