Hotel Montfort Nicolet

Extremely friendly. Located in a beautiful and quiet section of Nicolet. There are many amenities, like many jacuzzis., i.e., in your room, outside as well as near the pool. I would definitely visit this place again. When I asked for towels they promptly gave them. I loved the free coffee in the room. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is it. The local markets and bakeries were spectacular.

They didn't speak a lot of English. It was okay because I do speak some French. Also, the restaurant was closed from Sunday through Tuesday. Since there are not a lot of restaurants in the area, that could be a problem without a car. But just remember, this is a *French* speaking area, so have a translator. LOL.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable with mile high ceilings and views of the courtyard fountain. The rooms were toasty so we dropped the heat as much as we could and opened a window (but we like temperatures in the low 60's so if you're a normal human, I'm sure they are quite comfortable). The breakfast was a delicious buffet complete with some of the tastiest pastries that we've ever had at a hotel breakfast (the apple squares with walnuts are amazing). We had asked for rooms close together, and while we weren't next to each other on the same floor, we weren't very far apart either. Staff speaks French and varying levels of English (everyone's English was better than my French et je peux parler un peu) and is super accommodating. The restaurant closes at 10 pm. We rolled in at 9 pm with 11 of us (a nightmare for any kitchen at the end of the night) and they got us seated and fed like the professionals they are and they did it while being a little short staffed. Very impressed with this place and 10 of 10 would stay again.

The only think I didn't like was that our trip was so short and we didn't get a change to make use of the spa facilities the hotel offers. The pool and the rooftop hot tub sounded lovely, but we just ran out of time. More of an FYI than a "didn't like" - Parking is a bit tight and we had to drive around the hotel a bit to find a spot and then use all of our parking skills to get in and out. If you're going with a group, carpooling will be helpful.

The staff was friendly and eager to help. I have serious environmental allergies, so they gave me a room with a hard floor. It was large, very clean, and completely suitable for my condition. I was happily surprised. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The mini-fridge was inside a cabinet, and the A/C was very quiet so I slept like a baby. Everything was newly renovated, clean, and in good order. The rooftop terrace is very nice, and the spa next door is amazing. I loved the little cafe where I was able to work in a pleasant atmosphere before my check-in and after my check-out. The wifi was very fast both in the hotel and in the cafe. I'm looking forward to coming back and spending more time there.

The restaurant menu did not match my food preferences, so I brought my own food.

The room was very spacious, though the bathroom was small. It was very nice and quiet at night. Loved the area, the hotel.......the outside grounds. The service at the front desk was great. Was a great place to go for anyone needing to relax. Whether it be outside on the grounds, around the indoor pool or in the spa bath pools.

Didn't like the lack of room service. We never received clean towels on our second day, never received clean coffee cups, or a refill of coffee, cream or sugar. And didn't understand why an envelope for a tip was left on the dresser if we didn't receive that room service. I imagine like everywhere, it was from a lack of employees.

Loved this place! Exceeded expectations (and they were quite high to start with). Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was clean quiet and comfy. There was a screaming baby in the next room that we could hear very well in the hall but not at all in the room so soundproofing is good! Lovely view to the river. Loved the robes to use for the back and forth to hot tubs. The roof was a fab place to hang out and watch the sun go down as well as to enjoy the hot tub. The thermal/cold bath area is great. Perfect for Covid times as there are 4 separate hot tubs. We didn't use the indoor pool but the room is really nice. The whole place is just really well set up and beautifully laid out. Great to bike from too! The 'bag' breakfast was even good! We will be back!!

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque location. Room was very large with high ceiling and lovely view of the river. Carpet needs to be replaced, but everything else was very nice. Staff was lovely and friendly. The spa pools and sauna as well as the rooftop Jacuzzi were wonderful and more than we expected. Great value for money.

Probably due to Covid, the restaurant was closed which is fine, however the hotel should’ve offered coffee, muffins, fruit etc for breakfast options as there is no restaurant nearby. The room phone didn’t work, but this was not a big issue.

A really beautiful hotel in a nice out of the way spot. The spa is very nice and open until late. We could take our dog with us which was really great too.

The rooms have a very sterile feel to them with grey walls and minimalist insides. it would also have been nice to have a couch as well as a bed rather than just a chair.

After a long day of traveling and tired of stopping at road side hyway hotels this was a pleasant find in a small town just off the hyway. Being dog friendly it provided a beautiful lawn to wander around and exercise our pup. Quiet and relaxing property was exactly what we were looking for.

The grounds of Hotel Montfort Nicolet are amazing! Very beautiful. It’s obvious the hotel caters to weddings and there weren’t any while we stayed here so we had the place practically to ourselves! You do have to drive everywhere. it’s not within walking distance of anything. Overall, there was nothing we didn’t like and would recommend this hotel!

Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Great swimming pool for kids. Great rooftop hot tub. Wonderful old historical building, tho our room was in an annex. Wonderful gardens and small forest path adjacent to the hotel.

Only negative was the breakfast buffet... Food was poor to okay, and highly overpriced.
