We were arriving later than the normal check-in time and the manager called to let us know where the room was and how to enter it. Also, the motel was in an unexpectedly nice neighborhood that was nice to walk around!

The mattress sagged toward the center but it was otherwise comfortable enough. The furniture and room was somewhat old and tired but it was very clean (my spouse found the smell of the cleaner (Mr Clean?) a little strong when we arrived but we aired the room out for a few minutes and it was fine)

Between me & my husband and other family members we tried 7 of the available rooms over two periods of stay. All were clean, with comfortable beds and equipped to the level of that room - we sampled the full range from economy up to the suite with full kitchen. The whole site had character with well-kept gardens. The buildings are old, so some of the fixtures and fittings weren't pristine but everything worked. The owners were very friendly and genuinely helpful and very welcoming. The location in Beaurepaire Village was perfect with a coffee shop, nice pub/restaurant, pharmacy, and convenience store plus a good pizza take-away. We didn't have a car but could get a bus to downtown Montreal from just outside (or to the airport with 1 change of bus). I had selected the Chalets because they were walking distance from family in Beaconsfield. We had to move mid stay to a bland chain hotel that was much more expensive because the Chalets were fully booked. All 5 of our party gave The Chalets our vote.

Nice quiet location with easy drives to all places on West Island. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Nice unique flower beds and ornaments. Chairs on porch.

Door to bathroom needs fixing--scrapes on floor and almost jams. Barhrooms need some small shelving for toilletries. Provide more toilet paper and Kleenex in the room. Blind adjuster needs fixing. Toilet paper holder needs tighting against the wall as does the hook on the back of the bathroom door--all small things which can be easily fixed.

i enjoyed this stay far more than others at more “elegant” and expensive motels/hotels. I would love to go back. The peacefulness, charming chalet, comfortable bed, good Internet, kitchenette abd bathroom all exceeded my expectations for a two-star place. The staff were wonderful! Helpful, cheerful and kind. Highly recommend Beaconsfield Chalets.

The only (tiny) thing was that the can opener didn’t work. Otherwise the kitchenette had everything I needed.

We loved the location, the way it’s tucked in a nice residential neighborhood. It was quiet and safe. The room was perfect for our needs. The icing on the cake was we could bring our dog! They charge a one time fee for dogs, not daily like some places, and a reasonable amount. Roy and Jackie were very friendly and we got to chat a few times. It’s not a party motel like some motels end up being. the grounds are charming and decorated nicely. We walked to the lakeshore and found a little section that not many people were at. There were a few tables to sit at. It’s a gem and I’m so glad I found it!

I can’t really complain. The fan in the bathroom goes on with the light so it can be loud during the night and even when just being in the room. I noticed a slight gap around the front door which could let cold air in during winter.

Lovely location surrounded by trees, quiet and dark at night. Easy to find just off the A20. The little complete kitchen would make it a good place to stay if you are visiting the area for an extended period. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very string lingering smell of cleaning chemicals (Lysol?) upon arrival, so I opened up all the windows and doors to air the place out. I really don't think there is any need to use these kinds of toxic and odoriferous chemicals to get things clean. I arrived late in the evening, and be warned: there really isn't anywhere decent to get something to eat around here later in the evening (I exclude a nearby MacDonalds from "anywhere decent").

The location is good as there is plenty of public transit nearby. Additionally, there are some great food options and a small store nearby as well. The rooms are standard comfort but good for the price.

The internet went out a couple times. Normally this wouldn't be an issue as you would be out exploring anyway but we were sick for a portion of our stay. So the lack of internet at times was frustrating.

It was nice to have the chalet style room with entrance from outside. Great to have kitchenette to cook our breakfast. Bed was comfortable and host was very helpful. No housekeeping because of covid, but that was to be expected. In a residential area so quiet and close to lakeshore, but only a few minutes from the highway so was perfect. Price was very reasonable, especially for Montreal.

The room was a good size but not a great amount of place to put suitcases A luggage rack would have been nice to have. Water temperature in shower fluctuated drastically if water being used in next chalet; had to be careful not to get scalded

The location was perfect and the stand-alone room + close by parking was ideal. Roy, the manager was very friendly and responsive. The room was comfortable and warm and impeccably clean. Beyond this, the value for money, ambiance, and amenities (fridge, microwave, TV, wifi) were all exceptional. We were really happy with our stay and would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the mattresses were quite saggy and resulted in sore backs all-around. The furniture could use a refresh too and a third chair at the small dining table (since the room was for 3 people--one double, one single bed) would have been nice. Otherwise, really a great place to stay!

Such a convenient location on the West Island, so easy to get to and in a quiet area. Small pets are welcome. Charming and friendly owners on-site, very helpful. The units are very clean and comfortable, good parking too. We will definitely stay there again when we return to the area.

When pressed for a negative, all I can think of is perhaps a choice of a thicker pillow. (We slept well)
