We managed to get a beautiful lakefront suite, big wrap-around deck, with fire pit and Muskoka chairs at the water. Very affordable considering the cost of other options in the area. Relatively quiet, depending on your neighbours. Excited about the free watercraft rentals, but it was too choppy the day we were there.

Unfortunately the carpet in our room was wet all over (as if it had just been steamed cleaned maybe?) and smelled of wet dogs. It was also a little aggravating not having a proper kitchen/sink, but our suite with a kitchenette was the only one available when we booked.

The cabin was very quiet and the beds very comfortable. The view across to the lake was lovely. We were only there for 1 night so did not make use of the other recreational activities.

The description stated that it was a cabin with a Kitchenette. This consisted of a small microwave with no instructions as to how to use it. A fridge and coffee maker and kettle. There were no glasses or cutlery or plates. We were told that the kitchenettes did not have them. This was not stated on the booking form. For travellers such as ourselves, when booking accomodation where one expects to be able to have meals that we bring with us this is very frustrating. We had to go into town and buy plastic plates and cutlery. I have not experienced a kitchenette minus basic cutlery and dishes before. This should be made quite clear especially as this facility is some distance from a town.

We liked the location and the fact it was quiet. I loved that they accommodated dogs of all sizes. I loved the fact that almost everyone had a dog and that there was a dog park. Dogs were allowed on the beach with their humans which was awesome as well,

The inn is by the lake and it's so beautiful and refreshing. I like that they provide a BBQ equipment upon request with a small fee (10CAD). Though I did not use them, canoes, kayak, boardgames, badminton racket, tennis rackets are also provided. Huntville is 10 min away and have everything you can buy. The inn is also pet friendly - there's an off leash dog park and my dog enjoy sniffing the grasses.

I hope I'm early enough to book a room with a kitchen. I'm a bit late and got a room with kitchenette, which is good for making only coffee and tea. I hope the wifi connection could be faster. I also hope that the room's floor could be more clean because it's full of dust.

We love our stay here with my Family, The cottage is by the lake, I love the view from our room window. The water is also not deep so it's safe for kids. It's A quiet place , parking is right beside our cottage. We stayed in Birchgrove #10, bedroom is spacious. Canoe and kayak are free but limited for 2 hours so everyone can use and enjoy it which I understand. We have tried to rent different places/cottages in Muskoka and this one is on my list to go back.

The owner could add bigger pots and more kitchenware, it was raining the whole day on our 2nd day, we wanted to cook soup but we only had a small pot. But overall it's a great place to stay.

We loved how quiet (they told us they had 25 checkouts one day and we thought the place was empty it was so quiet) it was and enjoyed the winterwonderland that is Hunstville right from our doorstep. The staff were all great - very attentive and responsive. The cabin was clean and large. It was a bit too big for two of us and our two dogs (Algonquin 28), however, we wanted the full kitchen and our own space. We all, puppies included, loved looking over the frozen lake. The dog park / run was a nice bonus!

This is being rather picky...there were only single and double beds in the rooms, a double is a bit snug for hubby and I. And, the wood they provided was very fresh and hard to burn. We just ended up buying our own.

Amazing location. The grounds were very well-kept and it’s nice and quiet.

There’s nothing not to like about this place. The bathrooms could use some updating and the interior lighting is limited. My only real complaint is that someone who is extremely picky could find the mould in the corner of the bathtub a little disconcerting.  We’ve stayed in a variety of places, and this place was spotlessly clean, but this little detail could use some attention.  it doesn’t take much to repair and would make a world of difference.

The view is spectacular. The two beaches are very shallow making it great for little children. Not a lot of sand to play in but the water makes up for it. Water was warm, clean and crystal clear. Lots of equipment like kayaks, canoes, SUPs (free use). Helpful staff. Many picnic tables, adirondack chairs, BBQ grills (for rent). Volleyball, basketball, tennis facilities. A/C and fan in our room. Nice TV. Solid ceramic coffee mugs not paper. Hairdryer which I didn't expect. Updated, clean room.

No dresser to put clothes in, only a night stand. Freezer in mini fridge was frosted...freezer door pushed out making fridge door pop ajar sometimes...needs defrosting. Electrical breaker had to be reset when the kettle and hairdryer were used at the same time. Took about 40 minutes to remedy as there was only one person on emergency call after hours...we were sitting in the dark as the lights went out also. Bathroom window had no lock. Step outside our room door was narrow... only two slates wide compared to the three slates for other rooms...hubby fell going out the door! Towels are rough and well-used....needs replacing. Mattress was sunken in on one side...evident even with the comforter on. Despite this, I still enjoyed this vacation!

The king bed in the Honeymoon cabin was very comfortable. The cabin was very roomy with a good view of the lake. Only a short walk over a grassy lawn down to the beach. The beach was not busy and had lots of Muskoka chairs to sit, read and listen to the waves on the beach.

There were 2 folding chairs and it would be good to have a table to go with them as there is limited counter space and it would be good to play cards/games in the evening.

The room was front of lake, so calm and feel private. Free canoe and kayak. bonfire at night was amazing! Staff are very friendly!! Dog friendly with reasonable pricet. Easy to find the location. No contact check in/out. Would love to back another time.

Next to highway so not completely silent tho. We could not use boat after 5pm (normally can use until 8pm but due to less staff, they said). Check in 4pm and check out 10am (we cannot use boat the day of checkout) is no make sense....(thank you for letting us use in the morning as exception tho!). Recommend to stay more than 2 days.
