Delta Hotels by Marriott St. John's Conference Centre

My husband and I stayed one night. Our home is only an hour away but we were in town for funeral service for my mom. We could have stayed with friends or family but a quiet hotel room after a very busy day of visitations was much need. We chose the Delta because it was so close to the funeral home. The room was lovely clean and quiet. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the St John’s harbour. We had a great evening meal at the restaurant. I would definitely stay there again.

Great experience

Room was nice and clean bed very comfy. The view we got was great. The cleaning staff was really nice on our floor and hotel was really nice and quiet. Well located to bars, restaurants and shopping by walking.

The hot tub was out of order, and the entrance was a little hard to locate. It is at the back of the hotel tucked away.

The hotel is well located for access to downtown and the key city attractions. It meets all the expectations of a large, well respected hotel and hotel chain. The room is spacious and well laid out, with plenty of work space for the business traveler. It is a comfortable walk to the major city attractions and easily accessible parking. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff very welcoming and friendly.

COVID19 restrictions meant that the hotel restaurant had limited hours, but clearly everyone is in a similar situation. The hotel lobby is spacious and social distancing rules have resulted in it looking a little empty and "cold" but there is still plenty of space to sit. St. John's downtown is not a "coffee" city so finding a cup of coffee past breakfast time was next to impossible!

The room is a good size and the bed and linens were comfortable. We were originally booked in a room overlooking the back of the hotel. As we were staying 3 nights we asked to be moved to a harbour view room and they didn't hesitate. We really enjoyed the view. We were allowed a 2 pm check out due to a late flight which was very helpful. We had a good stay.

I think a hotel of this rating should provide glassware and ceramic mugs, not paper. There was 1 comfortable arm chair. 2 would have been nice and there was room. Many rooms are occupied by 2 adults so I think this should be the norm.

I had a seamless check-in. The food was awesome. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Lounge staff were friendly and courteous.

I can't really complaing, things were great. The only negative was breakfast was hectic with all the tour buses, but it is what it is.

The hotel is amazing… the lobby is so bright and beautiful. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious. Great central location to all your downtown amenities. The staff go above and beyond to any requests you might have. The atmosphere is incredible and it’s the most amazing hotel in St. John’s!!! can’t wait to go back again!!

We love the location. It is our favourite hotel to stay at when visiting the city! The beds are so comfortable and the room was clean with a great view.

The price is excessive for the area however, it seems comparable to other hotels (which I also think have excessive pricing). The bathroom is a little dated.

Great location. Very comfy bed. Friendly service. Good lounge with good breakfast and afternoon snacks. Would like to see a daily free cocktail offered in the lounge given the price we pay for the upgrade.

The location was perfect for sightseeing.

The parking garage was a nightmare! Getting in and out of the garage was extremely dangerous because the traffic was coming from all directions and it was impossible to see if there was a car coming without pulling out onto the roadway! The garage door from the hotel was broken so we had to park across the street and the entrance was in a very dangerous position.

Room was very clean and well maintained, staff were great. Loved the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.

TV channels were not great, not much to choose from. Female bartender in the evening was not friendly.
