Holiday Inn Express Deer Lake, an IHG Hotel

Helpful staff when our luggage was delayed. Room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast as per usual, quantity rather than quality but enough things for most people to enjoy something

It was hard to get a definitive yes/no on whether the minibus would meet our plane - as it hapens due to multiple flights being delayed, te driver was there and had made an extra trip to check for stragglers so took us to the hotel but would have been nice to have the certainty.

Very specious eating area -- easy to self serve -- has french toast -- great coffee -- large area makes it very quiet and comfortable I also like the extra free coffee in the front desk area and food machines near the entrance Love your exercise room and safe swimming pool with slide.

Ouch!-- coffee maker in room didn't work -- had to advice front desk Wifi access a bit tricky -- could be simplified a bit more

This is a good place to stay in Deer Lake, short walk to the beach, close to the airport. Comfortable room, fine for family of 3. Nice to have the pool, exercise room, breakfast. Also great to have the airport flight monitor in the reception area. A shuttle bus was also available.

The fan was not functional, but luckily we could open the windows a little.

I have really bad rheumatoid arthritis and some other stuff . The staff was really good to me and even checked on me to see if I was OK. They are very caring and I love that.

anything I didn’t really like is that I couldn’t get down for breakfast because I was so sore. I wish I would’ve called down to see if somebody could’ve brought me something. I’m sure they would have.

For a chain hotel, this one hits all the right notes. I understand from the check-in staff that our rate was significantly lower than the prevailing rate on SEP 10. I booked this hotel months ahead of time. Not sure I would have stayed there at the rate they were quoting for SEP 10.

Staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. The hotel and room were very clean. I loved the location. I was flying out early and they setup the cab ride to the airport which was less then 10 mins from the hotel. I’d definitely stay there again.

I have no complaints.

WILSON! this hotel has its own dog that you can take for walks and give treats. The staff was also super nice and this place had a great breakfast that was included. They had a full spread. Bacon, eggs, sausage, Beans, toast, french toast, cereal, juice and tea and coffee.

The shower was clogged the water didn't drain properly.

It was perfectly adequate for my needs.

I’m an IHG member and repeatedly found my attempts to book directly didn’t work due to site interruptions so I used this Booking.com site to which I also subscribe. At breakfast Coffee & hot water repeatedly empty & it really wasn’t very busy.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at the HI Express Deer Lake! Clean, comfortable and the friendliness staff in a hotel I’ve ever visited! I’m always amazed that every interaction I have with staff in all departments is so pleasant!

The breakfast was very good because it had options for people who prefer healthy food choices!

There were many amenities there we didn't use. It would have been better for us not to have them and to pay less.
