Shallow Bay Motel & Cabins Conference Centre

The entire facility is very well-appointed - Swimming Pool, hot tub, sauna, with an exercise room overlooking the beach. The rooms was immaculate and very comfy. The management is top notch. I was standing in the lobby and a gentleman asked me "How are you doing young man?" (as a 65 year old) I smiled and said "Are you talking to me?" He said yes and we chatted. He was the owner, and I saw him many times during my one-night one day stay. He is very much "on-game" and attentive towards the customer experience.

The hotel was easy to get to and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to an ocean view room and the view was spectacular. The room had everything, was clean and comfortable. Food and service in the restaurant was superb.

The one night we had noisy neighbors but they quieted down by 11:30. Not the hotel's fault just very happy visiting!

It was a perfect location to enjoy the Gros Morne theatre. The rooms are standard hotel rooms but comfortable. The dining room served a very good dinner. The staff is so professional - in action and appearance.

I was disappointed with the sea view upgraded room that only had a window. I was hoping for a walkout to a deck. However it was very quiet.

We arrived in the evening and had to leave town to find something to eat as well as water to drink ! We weren’t informed when we checked in that the water was undrinkable it was by luck we’d grabbed water to drink when we ran out for something to eat! There was a notice on the table in the unit about the boil water advisory ! In the am when we’d gone for breakfast we saw that other guests had been provided with containers and water for their use! Was lucky we happened to look on the table or could have been a sad end to our adventure !

The proximity to Shallow Bay beach is fabulous. Truly a memorable place. The restaurant food was good but rather pricey and we enjoyed the view.

The resort needs to communicate where the safe water supply is to the guests as we were unable to drink the water due to a boil water order.

Cabins are across the road and the beach is not sandy actually rocky, but it's a great walk during low tide for sand dollars, you need to go to daypark up the road by car for great sandy beach,

We didn’t have the breakfast. But we did eat at the restaurant and the server I can’t say enough about her. She was so pleasant and we were travelling with a baby and she put his supper in right away and he had his supper within 5 mins. The staff were so friendly.

This place is incredible value and has everything you could possibly need, and some of the cabins are pet friendly! We will definitely be returning. What a gem. Impeccably clean and great service.

Trying to make calls was a bit frustrating.

Comfy beds, spacious room, mini fridge, ocean view, clean, food options in-house.

Lack of correspondence and congruency: I paid online via Booking.com, and the front desk did not know how to process it. The corridor we stayed in bellowed: anyone who walked down the hall could be heard as stomping.

This hotel is the cleanest, best kept hotel in which we have ever stayed, including some high end chains. The restaurant is also top notch, with a good variety menu, great service, and large portions. There is also a pool, hot tub, sauna and workout room. The pub also seems to be a big hit. It also offers pubgrub until 2 a.m. during peak tourist season which is virtually unheard of in rural areas. There is a new performing arts building across the street which highlights dome outstanding talent and cultural events.

There is nothing to dislike.
