Hilltop Motel & Restaurant

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean. Bathroom was small but updated and spotless. Parking right in front of our unit. Was happy to have a microwave, frig and coffee maker in the room. Nice to have a restaurant on site. Was good for a one night stop over on a three day journey.

The room was small. Noise from the trucks climbing the hill outside the complex. Because the room was small we sat outside to get some fresh air and relax before dinner. It was nice but the outside of the building was covered in road dust and the decking needed painting. We were early in the season so maybe they will work on these things.

The location was great. We had a very long drive there and it was lovely to be able to visit the falls first thing in the morning. It was very clean, quiet, and the SHOWER is bliss. Coming from Europe, I now understand why visitors complain about water pressure in Europe. 😂 The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. late check in was really easy and the man at checkout was also very helpful!

the outside stairs were a little “fragile” and slippery. It obviously gets very wet and misty, so not sure what can be done. the signage warning warning is was good!

Absolutely stunning views of the falls. The rooms were clean comfortable with the little extras. The food in the restaurant was top quality. I highly recommend and would be back in a heartbeat. The town seemed to be clean with camera views everywhere. I'm thankful I found this beautiful place as I'm from Australia and only fluked finding a place to stay on our long travel from Prince Edward Island to 1000 Island.

Absolutely nothing. I just wish I'd asked for a room overlooking the falls. Maybe also if you don't do stairs to ask for ground floor.

The location is incredible, over looking the river and the falls, the lovely warm, courteous welcome and the parking facilities. The room was excellent, just right for us, nicely laid out and adequate facilities, very comfortable. A short walk down the hill to the falls, what a view, an incredible experience, with viewing platforms, loved every minute of it, wished we could have stayed longer. There is a lovely restaurant on site, we didn't use but many people I'd spoke with and they highly recommend it!

Couldn't Fault it - it's fantastic

Perfectly situated property for travelling through or visiting the falls. Property looks over the falls and the restaurant onsite was great. Close to all amenities. Ice machine. Well maintained property. Staff very helpful getting me a new key when I locked myself out. Geared up nicely for travellors.

We were on second floor with no elevator so somewhat inconvenient but not too bad. A/C was broken in the restaurant but most likely a temporary set back.

Everything was perfect : large bedroom, efficient bathroom and comfortable bed. Excellent idea to have shampoo and shower gel dispensers instead of little platic containers. Microwave and fridge are always very useful to have. Keurig coffee machine is a + We had dinner at the Hilltop restaurant and it was delicious "huge portion". Our breakfast was included and instead of a buffet, we could choose any item from the menu, it was also very good. Sylvie was taking care of us for breakfast and she was really sweet; unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the lady who served us dinner but she was also extremely nice. Short walk from the hotel to see the falls was also nice.

One little detail we had french toasts and it would have been nice to have real "maple sirop" but it was still very good :)

The food was very good and the location was convenient. Staff was friendly.

The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the little extras like, refrigerator in the room, real cream for my coffee in the morning, plenty of coffee and tea with the coffee maker, extras in the bathroom (toothbrush and paste, make up pads, etc). Staff was friendly and helpful. A restaurant was right there on the property with good food and great staff.

The room was a bit small but we were only there for one night while travelling. Insulation in the ceiling was thin because we could hear the people above us moving around all night.

I loved everything

Very nice location. Our balcony was facing the falls - great view. We asked for a larger room to accommodate a wheelchair. Room was quite spacious, including the bathroom. Free breakfast was great. It was served in the restaurant of the hotel. Multiple choices from their breakfast menu. Very good food.

The beds were actually quite hard and lumpy. Accessibility to get to the room was not as easy as advertised. Higher than expected threshold and narrow door to enter the room. Once inside, the room was fine from an accessibility perspective.
