Westview Centre Motel

We stayed in Unit 11 and the view was stunning! Overlooking the water, we watched humpback whales and a beautiful sunset from the front seating area! Others have mentioned the steep drive up - it is steep but we had a level parking space at the top and actually although at first glance they looked daunting, parking in front of the other units looked OK. Most people reversed in without any trouble. The unit seems recently refurbished, with new flooring, comfy beds. The bathroom shower-over-bath unit was maybe a little older but clean and the shower was great with lots of hot water. Kitchenette was really well-equipped with microwave plus loads of other appliances - including an air fryer - in the cupboard below. WiFi was great, the unit had its own modem and my teenage son approved of the speed. We booked this last-minute from not much choice but we would choose to stay here again.

The laminate flooring did have one or two pieces that had raised slightly, creating a stub-your-toe edge but when noted, it could be avoided... it might not wear well over time though.

This property is fantastic. Very clean and tidy. Great people running everything. Lots of amenities including cookware, sink, coffee maker and hot plate. Beds are comfortable. TV and WIFI are great! Bathroom is clean and serviceable. View is SPECTACULAR!! Lots of restaurants close by and ferry terminal is a minute away by car and probably a 10 minute walk.

Very minor details but bigger bars of soap would help in the bathroom and some herbal tea in the kitchen would be nice.

The staff/owner went out of her way to accomodate our large van in the small parking spaces available. The parking is on a steep grade but she found a place that worked for our vehicle. She assisted in hauling our luggage from the parking place to our room.

One more pillow so I could read in bed. It would have been nice to have the fridge plugged in ahead of our arrival so it would already be cold.

The location and sea view were exceptional from the room. It was tidy and very well equipped.

The car park is a bit hazardous and poorly laid out as it goes straight up a 45 degree incline and has a blind narrow corner. However, this is not really changeable and so must be accommodated.

Everything was very clean and the staff were helpful. The room had all the cooking items a person needs to make their own meals. Location was great for walking to restaurants, shops and logger sports!

Everything was fine, the drive up the steep hill to your unit takes a little while to get used to.

I liked the location, walkable distance to ferry terminal, restaurants etc. Owners and reception staff were very friendly, came with us to the room, explained everything to us to ensure we were comfortable, has awesome views of sunset, sitting outside your room!

Rooms were okay, but the washroom was a bit too small!

Very quiet place, very good l location , near a good dinner restaurant, near ferry to Comox. Great view of ocean.

Toiletries were not good. Didn’t appreciate having to sign for everything in the room/ linens, appliances, controllers for TV & lights & even the fake flowers on the table.

My husband didn't find the beds comfortable and I like my pillows with more stuff inside. This is definitely not the motel owners fault as everyone has a different preference. I found the bed very comfortable!!

Toaster and hot plate burners were problematic, kept setting off fire alarm.

Great views of sunset. Can walk to restaurants. Beach is close by. Accepts dogs.

Could have a broom in suites for people staying a few nights.
