Alpine Inn & Suites

The beds were so comfy, and the room was very clean and smelled fresh. The staff was so friendly, and gave us great ideas on where to explore and good restaurants. They had a bbq and siting area, which was lovely, and the flowers around the property was fantastic. The kitchenettes were supplied with everything we needed to make meals everyday. It was perfect for our family (including 2 dogs.) The nice thing was too is you don’t hear anyone else around you. They had a laundry machine you could do laundry at a small cost, so we were able to go home with clean clothes. It was very quiet and peaceful at night. We would definitely go back again.

We loved our stay, but one thing that made me dock a rating down was the A/C unit was right at my face. So at night I had to keep turning the ac on and off. We eventually the last night got a big map, and taped it over so the air would go up, and not in my face. We had to use the A/C as it was plus 35 out. Once we got that figured out I had an amazing sleep.

Location was walking distance (if you’re in decent shape) to the Baker st. with all the shops and restaurants you could want. The room was well equipped to cook a meal, just enough space for 2, with two windows on either side to let air flow. Clean and safe. Small bbq area accessible to hotels guests that we didn’t use but would be very useful.

Rented the Kitchen Suite 2 unit for our family. Were in town for kids soccer tournament and swim meet. Kitchen set up was perfect for the two nights we needed. Helps to save money on eating out. Cute motel, friendly staff. Asked for a couple of extra kitchen items and they were easily able to provide.

Would be great to have a TV in the bedroom as well vs just in the main room.

It is an excellent motel although at £111 for just a room for one night once tax was included it’s expensive but that seemed more or less the going in Nelson at the moment and few other places were available. You could pay the same for an equally nice room + breakfast in London. I used the on-site coin operated laundry which worked well. Wash and dry was $6. Drip coffee machine with quality coffee (decaf and normal) in the room.

Nothing really, there was no breakfast but motel breakfasts are normally terrible anyway.

The kitchenette area was very modern and stylish with all the equipment you needed. There was a separate bedroom which my teenage son appreciated (he missed his "cave" at home). The bathroom was clean, an ample size with a good amount of towels and toiletries with a good shower. The decor was an interesting blend of stylishly modern and retro chic. Completely worked for us. Probably our favourite room of the whole road trip!

Location for our needs. Close to the down town. Easy access to Highways for going to Castlegar, and Kaslo.

This is pretty much out of the control of the staff, but I would say it would be the noise coming from other guests. Being inconsiderate, and disrespectful of others seems to be the order of the day.

Staff were excellent. Ended up staying for two nights instead of one. First night we stayed on suite with kitchenette and second in room with jacuzzi. Both rooms were nicely decorated, clean and beds were super comfy. Hotel was 10 minute walk to downtown and 1 minute drive. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit nelson.

Everything was clean and new looking. We checked in and the front desk person gave us a list of good restaurants which we really appreciated. Also he helped change the on-line reservation because the numbers of occupants was incorrect. It was close to down town. Brand new bed!

The only thing that was bad was that the bathroom was out of date. Also my roommate complained about the blue light on the T.V. bothering her all night. Also a little breakfast would be nice!

The staff was extremely helpful. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time hanging out bar hopping and shopping on Baker’s street before we made our way to Calgary for some family time. Micheal who is at the front desk for the evening shift is the best!!! The first year we stayed he knew all the great restaurants and we were so happy to see him in 2022. This place is a gem!! Can’t wait til next year!!!

A great spot to use as your base when visiting the entire Nelson BC area! Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic, clean, quiet accommodations. Have enjoyed repeat visits and stayed here! 😊

Prefer the kitchenettes for a little more room. Will remember that when reserving next time.
