Forest Park Hotel

Beautiful room, lovely comfortable beds, nice powerful shower and lovely toiletries provided in the bathroom. Lots of facilities at the hotel such as a spa, pool, gym etc. which we didn't have time to use but looked good. Laundry facilities available but having to find coins was a nuisance, given Canada is a mostly cashless society. The friendly and helpful reception staff helped us with changing notes to coins. Having a seating area outside was nice. Walking distance from the centre of Jasper and plenty of parking. We loved our stay and didn't want to leave.

The location of Forest Park was perfect for our stay. Close to trails and a quick walk into town for shopping, excursions, and restaurants. We loved the relaxing fireplace area at the front of the hotel. The sunrise + mountain view from here is worth an early morning start. Lots of Elk around. Our room was clean, fresh and our balcony boasted another stunning mountain view! We enjoyed a fresh, plentiful morning meal at Walter's Dining Room. The coffee is delicious. We had one dinner at Hearthstone, the Sangria and our food was incredible. All of the staff here were very polite and helpful. We will definitely return!

Large room. Comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom. Good location. Nice atmosphere inside. Ate at the Hearthstone Lounge and had one of the best steaks I have ever had. The pool and hot tub/steam room were perfect and open late enough for me to use them after exploring all day.

My shower was either freezing cold or too hot. When I used the pool there were no towels left by 8pm - they said not to bring the room towels down as towels were provided at the poolside. The little card that your room keycard goes in said there was an 'express checkout' where you could leave your keycard in the room and ring reception to say you were checking out - when I rang reception at around 6am the lady didn't seem to understand what I was talking about and said I had to go to reception to check out.

No guide on TV and no movie channel or spot to order movies. when we called down to front desk couldn’t really understand what she was saying other than push channel up/down. After a long day of exploring just wanted to relax with a movie! Pillows were not the best ! ☹️ We were not told we had to put out the door hanger to get maid service so came back to unclean room and therefore we did not have coffee packets for morning and we had to call down for more which was fine but a hassle.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Showed me the options available to upgrade to the newer building. The original building is older and outdated but is comfortable and clean. Got everything that we needed for the stay. Many Parking spots are available. A bit walk to the village but still walkable. Didn't hear noise from the traffic at all.

Soundproof is very POOR. I can hear the TV and talking voices from the next room through the wall. Glad it was a slow season with no big parties, otherwise it will be very noisy. The older building has a weird smell maybe from the pool since the pool is inside and open to the building. Rooms lights are too dark. Also, we didn't have free breakfast because we booked via booking.com. The staff explained that booking.com's room rate is lower.

Room was a really good size with 2 queen beds, very comfortable, shower was good. Gym / fitness facilities also good and pool / hot tub great. Good location on the edge of town so nice and quiet, benefitting from free parking and only a 15 minute walk into the heart of town

Hotel is a little tired / dated in its decor but that didn't impact our stay at all, everything was in full working order. Air con in room is noisy - we didn't need to use it but I can't imagine you could sleep with it on at night.

Very comfortable and nice place to be. Has a premium feel on arrival. Free parking, which was great!

The staff seemed pretty grumpy/bored on the whole - acted like they didn’t want to be there. Not one of them smiled, once. Not overly helpful. It’s a bit of a walk into the town, compared to other hotel options. But the walk is pretty beautiful on a sunny day, with views of the mountains. Breakfast wasn’t included which was a shame, especially as it’s a bit of a walk into town.

Beds were very comfortable. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, offering suggestions to where we could get dinner and getting extra blankets from house keeping when we went down to ask for them.

Shower curtain was ripped and there were small holes in the bathtub. Difficult to find the location of the tea bags and cups for drinking. Previous tenant's coffee pod was also left in the coffee maker. Hotel seemed very expensive - almost $400 for a one night stay.

The checking process was seamless. Ankita helped to get upgraded to the recently renovated zone within the hotel and it turned out to be a great experience after all. I am not sure you would want to stay within the main building since it has a strong smell of chlorium from the pool.

I wish the rooms were a bit bigger or they would offer some common space to enjoy. It is hard to navigate with 4 people inside and little to no space to eat. Steaming room wasn't working well and it was on a colder side.

The location was great, close to the main downtown. There was ample parking just had to find the spot, check in process was smooth and the rooms clean, air conditioning worked great

The buffet breakfast was a tad disappointing, paid 25 CAD thinking it would be a good buffet were terrible disappointed, the food was rock cold and uneditable, it even tasted stale. The freezer in the mini fridge was jammed ice shut couldnt store the icecream had to melt it.
