Hinton Lodge

Location was perfect right off the highway. Our room faced the back parking lot so we didn't get any road noise. Nice selection for the breakfast, and multiple restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly. Everything seemed really clean and the beds were very comfortable.

The rooms are definitely not soundproof. The noise from the hallway carries through and is very loud if you're unlucky enough to be near inconsiderate guests like we were. They let their children run and play up and down the hallway screaming early in the morning after arriving late at night. Not the hotel's fault by any means, but having a bit more soundproofing in the doors might help dampen the noise. The breakfast area was also very busy so I would suggest going early and not waiting until it was nearly over like we did.

Cozy bed, close to all amenities including shopping center, restaurants, bars, nature, other hotels around, liquor stores, close to Jasper National park as well ( more than 40 minutes drive, but worth it because of the scenic view). It has also an elevator, and stairs as well. Vending machines, cozy waiting area.

Heat in main entrance area. AC doesn't get there. Odor in the room at arrival was yuky. Staffers could more warmer not acting like as if they are on defense There is a need to update the interior. Very hot main entrance. Staff were a bit cold at first contact but warmed up later. The hotel is a bit outdated. Carpets are really old and dirty. The breakfast room was hot and crowded. More variety for breakfast would be great.

The hotel was very busy and we had to wait twenty minutes to get a table.We were told eventually that we could take the plates to our room.The food was excellent and everyone in our group-ages 6-75-enjoyed it. The staff was very kind and cordial.

It was my fault for not mentioning that I use a cane and would appreciate a room close to the front entrance.The hallway walk was long and painful for me.Being close to the second room was a bonus for my four grandchildren as they could easily visit back and forth as I rested.

I had a fantastic stay at Hinton Lodge for a day! Its proximity to Jasper National Park, just one hour away, made it a perfect base for exploring the stunning natural beauty of the area. The convenience of having great dining options like McDonald's, Burger King, Walmart, and Tim Hortons nearby was a big plus. The breakfast served at the hotel was also quite decent, ensuring a good start to the day. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a more convenient and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

This was our second time staying at Hinton lodge. We stayed at King bed with jacuzzi room this time as well and we really enjoyed our room as it was spacious, clean and so relaxing. It came with a fireplace, jacuzzi and kitchen sink, cupboards and some wineglasses. Free breakfast was another nice additional touch we loved! Special thanks to Sheila at the front desk as she was very attentive and friendly staff and she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. We look forward to coming back again!

Hotel is very clean and comfortable. It's location is also great. It is right on the highway and close to Jasper National Park. Hotel is located close to number of restaurants (McDonald's, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Subway, Boston Pizza) and other businesses (Canadian Tire, Walmart) I would like to mention that this is one of the few hotels that prepared the rooms on daily basis. Ample parking space.

I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel.

clean room and decent breakfast , conveniently right off the highway for travel and lots of restaurants nearby.

the first night we called the front desk to report that the switch for the fireplace would not stay in the on position. the first person we spoke to tried to tell us we didn’t have a fireplace in that room??!! obviously we did, we were looking at it ! we also knew it worked if we held the switch in place . then the second person we spoke to eventually said maintenance would address it in the morning . we left early the next morning and didn’t get back until supper time and nobody had addressed the issue all day as far as we could tell…we never had a working fireplace the whole 2 days that we paid to have.

We had a comfortable stay at the Hinton Lodge overall. The room was clean and comfortable - no complaints at all, but the highlight was the very good hot breakfast.

The only minor gripe was that the breakfast (which was stated to be very good) was crowded, with the breakfast room rather small for the number of guests partaking. I saw at least one person taking his plate of food to the couch in the lobby to eat. Extending the breakfast hours, even slightly from 9:30 AM, given the 11 check-out time, might help alleviate this.

Breakfast included - the best ever (only coffee could be better ): omelets, scramble eggs, sausages, jam, cream cheese, fruits, bagels, wafflers, cereal etc. Our room very specious with living room and appliances like coffee /tea machine , fridge and even wine glasses, iron desk and iron ,TV . Parking lot (free) next to our window so we can see our car -very convenience .Very clean hotel overall. Close to highway and big stores in Hinton.

It was very crowdly, during breakfast time, no available table for so long. You have to wake up early or stay in the line up to get some table. Breakfast starts 6.00 to 9.30 am.

Staff remembered us from previous stays which made us feel like we were coming home. Our accommodation was clean and we appreciated having a King bed. Everything worked. Now that might sound insignificant, but rest assured not all accommodation is so blessed.

Sausages that were not browned. Can't think of a single thing other than that small disappointment. It's not a deal breaker. We will be back!
