Plantation Urban Resort & Spa

The stay was flawless. The room was comfortable and spacious with lush greenery outside, the staff was so friendly and helpful, the pool and surrounding seating were fantastic.

The breakfast got a bit boring by day 4 so you can imagine how it was by day 14 however there were a lot of options and everything was super fresh so not too much to complain about. Perhaps just one dish special on the menu on a 3-4 day cycle and more breakfast items not things like stir-friend veggies, or broccoli in oyster sauce which are lunch items and are difficult to digest when breaking fast. This is a very very small issue and the only tiny thing in a perfect stay.

We love the facilities e.g the swimming pool, cabanas and the urban jungle as my son calls it. The restaurant & bar was a delight for us, we’ve tasted all of the food in their menu we ate almost every meal in there. We appreciate also their bartenders making a special gin & tonic for kids (non-alcoholic) as he enjoys having that drink anywhere we travel. Thanks to Superman (Ly Komsrean) Batman (Run Darak) Flash (Soeyota) Iron man (Chanta) well for the whole week stay my son named them as his super heroes. Our dining experience was a superb one as well because of the attentiveness of all the waitress Nita, Sufiya, Saven, Freny, Liden to name few. The hotel were able to do an extra mile for extending us a baby sitter for a night so we can go out as a couple. It was an excellent stay!!!

The spread of breakfast.

The Plantation is just a wonderful place, we had an extraordinary stay. First of all, the service is outstanding, all the staff tried to read every wish from your eyes, help you with everything you can (or even can’t) think of. Thank you all very much! Secondly, the resort is a miraculous place, once you set a foot inside, you instantly forget that you are in the middle of the noisy Phnom Penh, only steps away from the Royal Palace. Instead, you feel like having arrived in the middle of the jungle, with palm trees and an exuberant vegetation. Thirdly, the breakfast was a dream, so many different options, we could have stayed for another week without eating twice the same. Not to speak of the restaurant for dinner, the have a nice selection of dishes and the ones we had were very delicious. Great thank you for that fantastic stay!

From outside it is difficult to guess that this property has good swimming pool and rooms. It is in the middle of the hustle bustle. Many shops / local eating joints around. However, once inside the property all vanish and it seems like a resort. The rooms are spacious, clean and quite new construction

The hotel has two different sections and connections between the sections looks an after thought. Narrow lanes and rudimentary staircase arrangements make it look quite cheap. If you book the swimming pool view then you are in for a resort feel. However, if you book any other room, there is almost zero view. You will either have a wall or tree at max in your view. So, non-swimming pool view do not worth the price, in my opinion.

I arrived from an overnight flight-- tired and irritable. Not the guest you'd like to check in when you have construction going on (completion date: December). We were shown our room (a gorgeous upgrade) and settled in. Time in the crystal clear pool and then off to some nearby sights (including the walking distance of The Royal Palace). The training of the staff was FAR BEYOND any of the resorts we have been staying in (we are in Month Three, so that's a lot of resorts!). From the reception desk, to the mannerly bellman, to the superb Mr. Chan Borey, Duty Manager, to the chef and superior wait staff, we have nothing but accolades. We arrived crying (from exhaustion...) and we left feeling weepy to leave! So much so that we will return our a few more nights before we depart from Cambodia. The degree of focus and attention even boiled down to this particular act. I used the toilets near the restaurant. I noticed very discreetly tucked under the sink was a cleaning chart for this exquisite public bathroom-- for every two hours. It was spotless, well-appointed-- and like every other aspect of the design and decor of the Plantation Urban Resort, spot on!!! The grounds were an utter oasis... beautifully lit at night and a lovely mix of sun and shad. We liked literally EVERYTHING.

I even loved the way the housecleaning stored the towels under the sink. I can't wait to go back!!

The location was excellent as it was short walk down a traffic free street to the Royal Palace, waterfront etc. The ambience despite the renovations was good and the effort to keep the pool area clean was amazing. Lovely pool. Breakfast was very good with a large choice from the buffet and eggs freshly cooked. I suspect that when the renovations are finished this hotel would be out of my price range as a solo traveller.

There was no tourist information bar a map to pick up. So one relied on websites etc. for joining a tour etc. A tourist shelf with leaflets would have been useful.

The breakfast buffet was always fully stocked and varied each morning. The beds are very comfortable. The decor in the rooms is tasteful and elegant. I was offered an upgrade on my arrival at no extra charge. The larger pool near the main restaurant and spa is so relaxing with the private seating areas. The outside sitting areas of the room are nice touches. The mosquito repellent given at check in comes in handy! The staff is always helpful with any question or concern. The landscaping and trees on the property make one feel like they are not in the middle of bustling Phnom Penh, although the city is wonderful! A true retreat inside. The spa has limited services, but I had two fantastic treatments. The temporary gym, although not the best equipment, is a thoughtful addition during the renovations. The price of the rooms is reflecting the noise, dust and lack of privacy due to the renovations. Despite the dirt, dust and all other unpleasantries of renovations, cleanliness in public areas was of utmost concern of the staff. A fantastic hotel. I have been coming here since 2017 and will keep returning!

The lunch and dinner menu needs more vegetarian options. The smaller rooms need more privacy in the outside seating areas, perhaps with more potted plants separating the space between guests' accommodations.

Great location, the breakfast was good, friendly staff. Pool layout was great. Loved the fernery and atmosphere was relaxing.

The breakfast did not have fresh pasteurised milk. While the advertisement stated that we would have a drying rack, one was not provided. I asked to have one placed in our room and was advised that this was not possible as we had an upstairs room. Whilst we were provided an upgraded room, my side on the bed was against a wall, so I had to climb down the bed to get out or jump over my husband. Not a great layout considering I am in my 50's.

Very impressive resort. Often pools are small but it's a decent size pool (maybe around 15m?) With loads of sunbeds and seating cubicles which lead directly into the pool. The pool area is very well maintained with one employee evening measuring the position of the sunbeds to ensure they line up! The restaurant and breakfast buffet are good and they even have live music on a Thursday night. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is in a good location. Recommended.

Considering how much seating area there is around the pool, there is no sun because of how many trees they've put in. It would be nice if they catered for both those who want shade and those who want sun

This is an oasis in the city. Sadly we had renovation work going on while we stayed - they did keep working hours 10am- 5pm but it wasn't very restful by the pool before then. The rooms are beautiful, the common spaces are very calming and the pool is lovely with all its lush planting. A very stylish hotel indeed. The food was amazingly good too. Delicious breakfasts and dinner.

BBQ theme nights seem to dictate moving sun beds away from the pool and blasting loud music to anyone nearby the pool. Not so restful after returning from a day of touring. Perhaps a later start than 5pm would permit the guests to enjoy some relaxation before the night time dining experience and after the renovation works ... say 7pm
