Baitong Hotel & Resort Phnom Penh

Baitong is my new favourite hotel in Phnom Penh! The rooms are HUGE, the pools are delightful, the food is great (both buffet breakfast and room service exceeded my expectations), the spa is lovely and well priced, and the staff are very kind and hospitable. The location of this hotel is exceptional, within walking distance to so many fabulous restaurants, bars, and businesses. The sustainability focus is well implemented, I can't wait to go back.

Just a note that the pool on level 2 is a bit chilly, but the pool on level 4 is heated. Also, the arrow pointing to the day spa on level 2 is pointed in the wrong direction, the spa is located next to the gym - turn left when you exit the elevator from the lobby 😊

First of all i really wanna thank all the staff here in baitong because they're so helpfull and friendly also full of smile. I experiences a warm and cozy stay here. Also i have ask for early check in before by email and they reply that it will be extra charged but on the day i stay i still come earlier as my schedule but the staff told me they bad prepare my room already at 11 a.m and please me to check in without any charged which is normally need to be charged $35. I really enjoy staying here. Wish i'll stay more nights in this property on my next trip 💜

I have to be honest because i stay in suite room for 3 people which is me and my 2 friends. We found the sofa bed that i sleep on is a lil bit dusty which make our skin itchy and coughing. Also the bed is too soft which is not really healthy. But i really love to stay here. Wish the maintenance in baitong getting better and better.

This was the first place we stayed in Cambodia after coming from Vietnam and I have to say it was the nicest place we have stayed in 3 months in SE Asia! The staff are friendly and polite, the rooms are enormous, spotlessly clean and have really nice styling throughout. We wanted to just relax for a couple of days, and it was Khmer New Year so not much was open, so we spent a day relaxing by the Forest pool which was like being in a jungle, with a special button you could press by your sun lounger to order drinks/snacks. the breakfast was included and again the best hotel breakfast buffet we have had in the past 3 months: great selection of western & Khmer (and wider Asian) foods, bean to cup coffee machine, and a stand with a chef making different specialities each day (omelettes, Tom yum soup etc) the rooftop bar was fun too if quite expensive, great to watch the thunderstorms roll by on An odd thing to appreciate, but notable, the lobby smelt incredible- I think they had a smell dispenser but it always smelt like soft jasmine I think. nearby, there is a restaurant on a corner (at the bottom of the yellow /red high rise with hanging plants on every floor) that does the best fish amok we have had in Cambodia! It’s called Khmer Surin Restaurant and we went like 4times.

Room was huge, the bathroom alone was as big as some hotel rooms I’ve stayed in recently. Cafe downstairs had very good coffee. Staff was great. I’d stay again.

I didn’t have hot water the first night but engineering fixed it the next day. The room had some type of contraption that you could hang your clothes in and it was supposed to sanitize and steam them but it wasn’t working and was displaying an error code (googled it) so I didn’t bother. Rooftop lounge was understaffed and while having dinner there I was surprised that a group sat next to me and all lit up cigarettes. Need some decent coffee at breakfast.

The breakfast is probably the best in Phnom Penh and one of the best I've had in many years. The staff could not be nicer.

This is my second stay here. The room this time (615?) was unbelievably noisy and faced onto a building site next door. I could hear the workers from around 8 am as though they were in the room. The noodle shops opposite were also terribly noisy until about 10 or 11 pm as was a barking dog there. I don't know why the windows did not seem to keep the noise out at all. In my previous room on the 3rd floor this was not an issue at all.

Location was fantastic, close to many shops & restaurants. Hotel is clean and has everything you need including a great little cafe and awesome rooftop bar. Great choice of TV channels & Movies if you just need to relax for a few hours. The breakfast buffet is small but seems to cater to many different tastes. My wife went for a massage at their in house spa and she said it was amazing.

It can be a little noisy as there doesn't seem to be any soundproofing. The WiFi can be a little inconsistent at times. If your getting a private pool, be aware... as it gets no sun the water is freezing cold.

The service was genuine and kind and so welcoming, the rooms extremely comfortable and contemporary and well designed with a great balcony and the location excellent. We walked to great restaurants. We also loved sunset drinks on the rooftop bar. We would recommend the hotel to anyone and will be back!

These are very minor things but a barista-style coffee at breakfast would be nice rather than a self serve machine and the shower did not have very hot water and sometimes did not drain very well. But none of these things impacted our wonderful stay!

The hotel was wonderful, the cleanliness was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the Bodia Spa 3 times and every time was a beautiful and relaxing experience. The rooftop bar had brilliant cocktails, worth the stay.

None of the below issues would stop us from visiting again. We stayed in the plunge pool room, the pool was heavily chlorinated, for understandable reasons however this has caused me to break out with a dermatitis rash. The drainage in the shower was a bit plugged up causing the water to run across the bathroom to the other drain, don't leave clothes on the bathroom floor, they will get wet.

The hotel is brand new and also in a good position. The hall with the private bar and the restaurant on the top floor are just right and the food is good

I gave the lowest score possible on the "comfort" as most of the rooms on first floor face the back of a inner food court that from 23:00 to 3:00 am are cleaning up, washing plates and throwing away beer bottles in the dumpster so the noise was excessive. I went to the concierge at 1:00 but nothing they can do.

We travelled to Baitong with a toddler and newborn and really appreciated that the hotel provided us with a crib and that there were multiple pools we could swim at with our toddler during the day.

No complaints! If Baitong had either adjoining or connecting rooms, that would have been icing on the cake for any families travelling with kids that have different sleeping schedules (eg. nap during the day, go to bed earlier at night, etc.)
