Windsor Excelsior Copacabana

Breakfast is amazing, with lots of varieties of bread ,cakes and fruits. Coffee is also very nice. The location is perfect for the beach lovers ( right in front) . The room is big and comfortable.

The restaurant in the evening was a disappointment as we ordered meat (picanha and filet mignon) and the meat didn't meet our expectations... The picanha was hard to chew and the filet mignon on top of being hard, was sweet :-( (maybe the chef put sugar instead of salt). Unfortunately we needed to sent the plates back, however the staff (waiters) were very kind and cancelled the meals for us. The "chef" should improve a lot..

The location, view from the rooftop, view to the beach and to the Corcovado from our room!!! The variety of food for breakfast, cleanliness, helpful staff, Refillable bottles for cosmetics in the bathroom (less waste!)

The rooms are aged, our bathtub was old and damaged so (even though it had been cleaned) it looked dirty… sealing around the protection bathtub doors needs replacing, too. The bathtub door was loudly squeaking when used. The rooftop pool is really small- don’t count on it. Bathing in the sea was great though! The checkin and checkout procedures are taking too long.

•the location of the hotel was great. amazing view of Copacabana beach and Jesus the redeemer. •The Rooftop terrace with the pool, even tho is smaller than it looks in the pictures, is a nice addition to anyone’s stay in such a hot city. •the staff was very helpful in everything we needed.

•overall is a good hotel but it would be nice to have it refreshed. even a light renovation would make wonders in such an already decent place. •breakfast was good but in my opinion not enough vegetables available.

Good location, friendly staff, and the comfort is alright.

I had booked a superior-room with one double bed, but I got a standard room with two single beds. I confront the staff with this, and they change the bed immediatly, but it was still a standard room. I confront them again after a couple of days, and then I got the superior room I had ordered and payed for. The staff gave me a huge apologize for this, but they couldn't reduce the price for this mistakes they had done. This case was little annoying, but overall my stay at this hotel was great.

The location is fantastic, the room was great with a side view of Copacabana beach, the breakfast was full of options opening early in the morning, the roof terrace was excellent with a nice food menu for light dinners/nibbles and had amazing views of Cristo Redentor, the Beach and Avenida Atlantica. All the staff was very professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Nothing to mention.

Room was quite comfortable. Bathroom was a bit squashy, but had a bidet (which we don't use). There was a large desk, wardrobe with a safe, and two side tables. It also had a range of toiletries and shower cap. Very nice. Towels nice and fluffy. The hotel backed on to the main road running parellel with Copacabana Beach. Fantastic. One minute across the very busy road and you were on the beach. Breakfast/Dining Room overlooked the beach. Breakfast was very good - lots of delicious tropical fruit. Nicely cooked scrambled eggs, bacon, vegetables, etc. I didn't see if there were facilities for cooking eggs/omlettes. They supplied beach towels. Our Hotel has the blue colour tower. Pictures taken about 7.30 pm.

Our 'view' from our room was into a 'nothing' courtyard. In other words, no view. That's OK because we know we pay for a view.

The breakfast was superb. It had wonderful papaya, and other fruit. It had everything you would want for breakfast plus great strong black Brazilian coffee. The top floor had a nice patio with a pool. The view of the ocean and beach was wonderful We sat up there drank great Caiparinhas and played cards. We also had a few lunches up there that were quite good.

Staff was wonderful, great location, very nice clean room.Breakfast was very good. The rooftop view was beautiful. Wonderful restaurants nearby. Amenities were very good. I was pleased to exchange money in the hotel so I didn't have to worry about any risk going to an ATM.

The only thing I could find fault with is that the hallway to our room had an unpleasant scent and the carpet in the hallway should be replaced so that it could be on par with the rest of this beautiful hotel.Our room did not have the unusual scent and was very clean. I definitely would stay here again

Breakfast was incredibly rich that had a variety of fruits, charcuterie, bakery alternatives. On our last morning we had to leave very early in the morning they have kindly provided breakfast for us before we leave even though it was way before the breakfast was served. Also the location so good, right next to Copacabana palace. There were lots of nearby restaurants and the beach is always very lively. Even though we have not walked inwards to the streets, our guide did not recommend us to venture places that are not certainly known due to the security problem in Rio. The staff at the reception are very helpful and fluent in English.

The beds weren't as much comfortable. Although the room was spacious, it didn't fulfil our expectations regarding decoration etc. I guess the rooms need a minor refurbishment. Also the room had a window looking to the interior courtyard of the hotel - that overlooks to the other rooms.

The Hotel is very central right at the beach front of the Copacabana. It has a fantastic view from the terrace!! You can even see Christ the Redeemer. The pool was really enjoyable. The cocktails were well made, and the pricing ok. A dinner can be served to you on the terrace. The room was as described. Cleanliness was ok. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room had an old feel to it. Considering the price I expected the room to be more modern.
