Hotel De La Couronne Liege

Easy to find. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Close by station. Sufficient space.

Parking is a few minutes' walking distance. Unfortunately, homeless people sleep there, so it doesn't feel safe. Soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. In general, clean, but if you looked at ventilation ... very dirty!

We chose the hotel because it's incredibly convenient for the station. Due to travel commitments, we arrived very late and had to leave early the next day. However, there was always someone friendly and helpful available at reception. The room was spacious and the facilities were excellent.

I stayed in Liegi just for one night, due to a wedding invitation. My check in was scheduled to be around 9pm, but I was pretty late. During the same evening, I've requested to have my check in after midnight... I was afraid to lose my booking. The staff was exceptionally helpful and welcomed me after midnight withour any problem! The room was kingly, spacious and very silent. The hotel is located in front of the Liegi train station. I recommend this hotel to everyone who is planning to visit this city! :)

hello everyone :) it was a wonderful experience traveling to Liege ... many thanks to the hotel staff for their hospitality and advice. BUT PLEASE GIVE WATER TO THE ORCHIDS IN THE SMOKING AREA!!:))))) Or they will die... Spacious room with a very large bed, fully corresponds to the photo. special thanks to cleaning ladies for the daily service. they do it quickly, and will not bother you in any way, even if you are in the room. and they will always politely ask if you need something specific, or refresh the room completely. <\3 very good sound insulation, and water pressure. beautiful view of the central station. really beautiful view.

ORCHIDS :(((((( water please 2. the window cannot be opened. even a little. 3. login by code, but the code is unknown to you. you have to call doorbell to have the staff open for you. but the staff are also people, and sometimes they have a lunch break, or it's elementary to go to the need. we understand. but it's not summer outside, so we need to solve the problem with the entrance. 8 people cannot fit under the roof of the hotel, if it's raining evening:) 8,5/10

This is a functional hotel, easily missed, bang opposite Liège Guillemins train station. The buffet breakfast is pretty functional too, though pick carefully and there are good things. In a city that sprawls, the helpfulness of its proximity to the main transport hub cannot be overestimated.

None of the small hotels opposite the impressive open-plan station seems to try to compete on excellence. A really good one, with attention to detail, would get my vote every time.

We extended our stay to four days. The staff genuinely wanted to help in any way they could.. The rooms are large and quiet. The beds comfortable and the showers are good. The hotel bar servers real Belgium beers at good prices. The hotel is just over the road from the train station but we never heard a train or any other noise. Either side of hotel there is a pizzeria / care and a small super market .

A fridge in the room would have been nice.

Location is superb - it's smack in front of Liege-Guillemins station, so you're just steps away from your train. I also liked the breakfast selection, which had enough variety to keep things interesting for three days. The hotel is in a busy area, given that a major train station is in front of it, but they gave me a room at the back of the building, which definitely was a big plus, as it was absolutely quiet. The bathroom was also very spacious, so this is also a positive point.

Some cosmetic issues could be improved, like the way the toilet fixtures are fitted to the wall. It works, but it looks like it was more a "quick and dirty" solution than a proper and well-thought-through one. It's like the wall was cut slightly bigger than the toilet fixture. Or they employed a less-than-capable plumber.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Right next to the train station and surrounded by bars, restaurants and more. The rooms are stylish and have everything you need. The staff was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly (especially how to use the parking structure).

Just a small thing. The door at the main entrance is closed and you need to ring the doorbell to get in (can't use the room key to open the door or anything). There was always somebody at the reception who opened the door in a few seconds but it seems kind of sketchy to rely on somebody to be present at all times to buzz you in.

The hotel was very clean. In some hotels you see dust/stains in the carpet or even dust smell in the ambient, however this one was neat. The staff was very kind with a perfect English. The room more than enough: comfy bed, good bathroom, tv, desk, closet and quiet. The location is awesome, just across the train station and a lot of bus stops. Also few bars and a supermarket just beside the hotel building. Definitely we would choose it again!

Don't misinterpret it, the breakfast was good and it had variety, the space was clean but when we arrived (10am, available till 11am) eveything was almost empty and they took a while to refill it and most of the tables were having trays and plates over. We also missed some buffet tools (lack of enough tongs to pick up food, napkins, no spare forks) and I think it's something could be improved, but at the end, we had no complaints and we enjoyed it :)

Superb location, opposite the station... Great base for coming and going on various train trips. Large, comfortable room, very clean, and a kettle, not always found in European hotels. Staff always friendly and helpful, and it had a lovely relaxed feel to it. Selection of bars and restaurants within a few steps, and a handy Carrefour express next door for supplies. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Only improvement would have been a mini-fridge in the room for keeping drinks cold.
