Hotel New Regina

Excellent hearty breakfast with both hot & cold options. I loved the fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and beans each day, all washed down with fresh orange and a cup of breakfast tea. Our room was clean and very comfortable, the walk in shower was amazing, big enough for two with excellent water pressure. The room came with tea/coffee making facilities, fridge & safe. You could not ask for a better location, opposite the cloth hall and overlooking the square.

Parking outside the hotel is free from 6pm - 9am, you will need to move your vehicle outside these times but not very far.

The room was very clean, modern and uncluttered with simple, hard flooring which looked newly laid. The location was perfect - our room overlooked the Cloth Hall in the main square, right opposite the entrance of the In Flanders Field Museum. The bathroom looked newly furnished, with a walk in shower as well as a big, deep bath with plenty of piping hot water. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of great options, from full cooked breakfast with many bread choices to pastries, yoghurts, cereal, fresh and dried fruit, cheeses and meats, and an interesting selection of breakfast style cake slices, which were delicious.

I wouldn’t change anything about it.

location directly on the Grote Markt (centre of gravity of Ypres) all modernised throughout a tall dark-haired youngish man was very helpful when we reported that the window (we were in room 301) didn’t close - he managed to close it, also promptly got us an additional duvet

no signs like most every other hotel offers that you can use to indicate “please make up my room” or “do not disturb”. The checkout time is 11am but housekeeping knocked on departure day at 9am. The price includes breakfast but this means that all guests take it, meaning the breakfast room can be extremely busy. There was one machine serving coffee and hot water, and was a little slow

Being a 3 star property, the New Regina is a great value for the money. Located literally on the Main Square, the main city attractions are at your immediate disposal. The room was ready before 3 pm (official check in time), we found it very handy. The room was of an adequate size, I need to point out the large, extremely comfortable bed, Nice bathroom with rain shower. large towel selection. Coffee and tea making facility with choice of tea, regular coffee, decaf and cream. The breakfast was included in the room rate and it was the biggest surprise. Let me elaborate, as a frequent traveler for business and leisure, I've accumulated lots of experience BUT such a luxurious breakfast experience I don't remember. Great choice, variety of the items from cheese, ham, various jams, sweet spreads, butter, eggs, bread rolls and various viennoiseries... Quantity wise, it was more than enough for 2 people. Last but not least, very friendly staff ready to help you at any moment. I also want to mention pre-stay phase, I called the hotel several times and always being treated professionally and in a friendly manner.

Lots to say here. So, in no order of importance: -Perfect central location - Very comfortable sound proofed rooms with all the facilities you need -Lovely staff who strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and leaving you to it - Air conditioning in the room could not have been more welcome in the recent heat wave - Very reasonably priced laundry service, perfect for me as I’d been cross crossing Europe all summer -Generous fresh breakfast every morning -All of the above meant I achieved what I set out to achieve in terms of my research!

The breakfast offered a wide selection of hot and cold food. The hotel is located in the centre of Ypres - approx 5-7 minute walk to Menim Gate. Restauarants and Bars are around the square as well as the hotel. The refubishment has improved the hotel enormously with modern rooms and comfortable beds. TV has some english news channels.

Parking is in the street or a nearby car park, in any event I found its a walk with your luggage. We found a street with parking about 300 - 400 meters away. You had to pay until 17:00 and free until 09:00. The traffic is usually very busy during the day and early evening, so its unikely street parking outside the hotel will be available.

The hotel is situated on the Grote Markt, facing the impressive Cloth Hall in the centre of Ypres. It was the hottest day of the year so far (19/07/22) and everywhere including our rooms were roasting, despite the A/C working overtime. After we returned from our evening meal and a walk round town, the the room temperature has dropped significantly to make sleeping possible. The room was fine and the bathroom was clean and modern. The hotel receptionist directed Me to free parking overnight, although I discovered that parking in the Grote Markt is free from 6pm till 9am. Breakfast was very nice. We had a very pleasant overnight stay.

The hotel was excellent despite the heat of the day. No complaints or negative comments required.

Excellent accommodation which has undergone significant modernisation since we last stayed there. Our room was warm and comfortable and fantastic views of the cloth hall. Breakfast was very good with a great selection of pastries ,bread, cereals, and cooked items plus fruit juice, tea and coffe. The hotel provides a central base to make the most of all places of interest and retail stores the region has to offer. We will definitely be returning to the hotel the next time we visit Ypres.

Lovely f I have one complaint, this would be the pillows on the bed. They were very flat.

This was my second stay in this hotel. The hotel is superb. It is in a beautiful, central location. Shops, restaurants, museums and everything you could ask for are right on the doorstep. The staff are superb. The rooms are excellent with stunning views. Our room was cleaned every day and was left spotless. Free parking was located about ten minutes from the hotel. The breakfast is superb with everything you could possibly ask for. I love this hotel and would not stay anywhere else.

central location , comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, warm room with controllable temperature. nice breakfast. Very helpful proprietors. Tea room downstairs very convenient for a beer or coffee after exploring . we would return to this hotel if visiting the city again.

liked everything about the property, but the parking around the centre is difficult. it’s useful to ask advice at check in for parking away from the city centre to avoid fines.
