Budget on the Lake

The bed was great, a nice firm, even bed, not a soft saggy old broken down thing like a lot of motels have. There were plenty of pillows of various kinds from soft to firm, making it easy to choose a comfortable option. The room, although small, was fresh and clean with ample facilities for a budget motel.

The only down side was the 1/4 roll of toilet paper with no spare rolls in the room.

We stayed for 1 night, with 3 young kids and it was nice. The room was clean and well maintained, the beds were very comfortable. There is an elctric kettele and micro. The location is good in Hemilton, close to nice views and a playground for kids, few minuets from shops and gas stations. The staff was very nice and helpful. The place was decorated for christmass which was lovely. Free parking of course.

The Wifi is free but very slow and there is no kitchen or sink, only in the bathroom

I had an issue with my car and was able to arrive quite late after check in time. I really appreciate the support with the settlement I got from the staff. And it looks like the Motel had a recent renovation because everything was like new. I can definitely recommend this place for a stay. The location is awesome as well.

The shower in the bathroom is quite noisy (pipes or tap whistling) but it dies not spoil the general experience

The location is fantastic, lovely to be across the road from the lake. Check in was very quick and easy. Car parking directly out the front of the room was great. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our short stay.

I'm not a fan of shower curtains! The tiles on the floor in the main room weren't too cosy on a cold night.

Fast easy check-in with the very pleasant owner. Room was compact but perfectly adequate for the night. Bathroom was quite dated but was clean. Tea / coffee making facilities were handy. There was also a microwave but I didn't use it

Location was very good, quiet but still close to main town.

A sink would of been very helpful as it was hard to fill the kettle & water bottles, only basin in bathroom.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in Hamilton and close to Hamilton Hospital. Beautiful and peaceful lake Hamilton is just right opposite the motel and great place to spend time in the afternoon. It was welcoming and I ran pretty much every afternoon whilst I was there. Will come back again. Thanks again Tam

Well priced with good facilities including microwave, basic plates and cutlery. Nice to have the option of a blanket rather than a doona. We had a pet-friendly room so appreciate this as an option.

Although bathroom looks like it has been done up recently, quite hard to adjust the hot water and funny smell near the toilet.

there was no tea towel or dishwashing liquid to clean the dishes that were provided. When staying 2 or more nights, we need to clean these to reuse so therefore we had to use the body wash / hand soap in the bathroom. The ceiling fan was rather dusty.

Everything was there that I needed except there was no milk for tea or coffee. A comfortable stay with good tv options too.

The shower curtain is perhaps not the best way to go. Water got on the floor at the shower head end. A small panel there might improve the problem.
