Quest Ballarat Station

Staff were very kind, got a little gift in the room upon arrival as well. Very clean and plenty of parking available in the immediate vicinity. Only a few minutes walk to the main street in town.

There was a few little things - the aircon is positioned immediately in front of the bed, no matter how I tried to adjust the louvers I copped a decent breeze even when on low, so had to turn it off. I’m a very light sleeper so these would only apply to other light sleepers. When I tried to have the aircon on the first night, the green light from the aircon wall control illuminated the bed which kept me up. Just finally, it is near the train station, of which trains do pass through all hours of the night and seem to have to toot their horn, as well as the rail crossing bells dinging.

Our trip to Ballarat was beyond our expectations, mainly because of Quest. It was a clean, newly built property and worth getting a 1 bedroom instead of a studio. It is very close to the station (obviously) but also within walking distance of the central area where you can visit local restaurants/cafes and museums. My hubby and I love to be able to cook during our trip so we can save money on food and we truly love having complete kitchen facilities in the room.

We tried to work out to turn on the oven but we couldn't figure it out. I'm sure the staff would be able to help out with that straight away, but we were not bothered too much about it.

The location was just what we'd been looking for in the perfect location, and the room was clean and beautiful. But best of all was the staff - we accidentally left a wedding ring behind, and due to serious illness we were unable to return to collect it. The ring was sent to us and received safely and I cannot express the relief. I would like to thank whoever found it for returning it safely and for the staff of Quest for going above and beyond to return it to us, it wasn't part of their job but they did it anyway and we're endlessly grateful. We'll definitely be repeat customers!!

When I arrived, I was unable to locate my wallet. I searched the car and found it finally. I think the gentleman in reception's name was Breandan. He was fantastic and very patient. I actually was telling friends about him today. He would have to have the highest rating in Customer Service I've ever experienced. If possible, I would like you to pass on my congratulations to him, please. He is amazing! Once we got to our room there was a note and chocolates. Loved it all.

This is a really nice new hotel, that has great rooms that are well equiped to cook for yourself. The bathrooms are modern and the bed was comfortable. The location is terrific. It's close the CBD, but off the main street just enough to be quiet and peaceful.

It's disappointing there are door between the rooms as you used to always see in old hotels. That just never has a great feel to me, and it means the sound proofing between the rooms is not nearly as good as it would otherwise have been. It's a bummer as it takes away from an otherwise great hotel.

Didn't know there was breakfast. Location excellent behind the train station but far enough not to hear it. Beautiful room, spacious, well equipped, immaculate, private. Loved the shower! Perfect for families as they can cook or heat their own food, park their car. Only 2 min walk to bus to Sovereign Hill which only takes 10mins. Bus interchange located here as well.

Everything was excellent except one major problem, the people next door were not noisy BUT I could hear them talking and could hear their TV till midnight so i didn't sleep at all. Their TV wasn't overly loud but loud enough to be annoying. If u address that issue everything would be perfect.

I have come to trust the Quest brand having stayed in another recent build and was delighted that the Quest Ballarat Station exceeded expectations mainly attributed to caring, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I stayed in two types of rooms having extended my stay, and staff were very helpful. I was able to work in the rooms and used the business centre each day which was perfect.

Some minor cleaning details in the rooms, conditioner was empty in the shower and in-house meals service would be convenient, such as simple breakfast and pod coffee in rooms. Water, tea and coffee in business centre would make it more comfortable. Not much but little details will improve it.

1 bedroom apartment was spacious and very clean. The appliances were good quality, and having a washer dryer was awesome. The whole hotel felt spacious with wide hallways and a break out lounge area on the floor. Great communication as we arrived late in the evening

The pillows were doughy and hard, some extra options would have been nice. We could unfortunately hear a couple in the next room, needed to put on the TV. Nothing else, this place is awesome.

Great room for a few nights stay; had everything needed including a kitchenette, very large bed, very clean, good bathroom.

Bed was a bit hard & the pillows not great; towels a little thin; location ok but seems to be a little far from the centre so not really walking distance to anything but I might be wrong about this as I arrived after dark & left 9 the following morning so didn’t get to look around properly.

We booked a family suite with two large doubles. We got a bathroom plus ensuite. There was A/C in the bedroom as well as the sitting room. We had a balcony with views and a well equipped kitchenette. All furnishings were up to date and in working order. The property is adjacent to the new arts precinct built where railyards used to be. It’s in the historic Lydiard Street, with access to public transport, shops and restaurants.
