Runaway Bay Motor Inn

The property was clean and the grounds were well maintained and the inground pool is a lovely lagoon style. With Harbour Town shopping literally just down the road and all Theme parks were only 15 minutes away. It was perfect for all the landmarks and attractions. I have to say, the service was exceptional. The laundry on site with 2 washers was an added bonus ($4 per wash), and the 2 dryers were free to use (you’ll be hard pressed to find this elsewhere). If needed, there is also a line out the back. The room was well equipped and coffee, sugar, biscuits, towels etc were restocked daily. Pretty Motor Inn and very friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again.

Maybe it would be helpful to have a little clothes horse.

Room was neat and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean, and the bathroom has recently been renovated with amazing showers! Overall a quiet location, with ample parking, close to amenities and public transport if needed.

Preset heating level - had to put the fan on as the aircon was set to heat, and there is only 'off and on' switch in the room. Again, a very quiet complex, so if you have noisy kids, or you're noisy, probably not the location for you.

We were advised that the office would be closed when we arrived. Trisha (receptionist) told us what to do, where the keys would be. If we needed anything, call her mobile.Towels for the pool were in our room ready for the kids And just come and see her when we were ready.We didn’t catch up till 2 days later only because we started exploring Runaway Bay and she wasn’t worried at all. Paid my deposit and we were off again! Very professional.

The room was very spacious. The queen size bed was at one side of a large room with a lounge at the other side. There was a desk with a chair as well. A separate room off the bedroom had a kitchen which had a table and 3 chairs, bar fridge, microwave and sink. All cutlery, crockery, kettle and toaster were provided. The ensuite was a good size with a shower, toilet and basin. The room was air-conditioned and there was also a ceiling fan. You could operate the light and aircon from the bed.

The pool water was clear but there was a lot of rubbish on the pebble bottom. It was pieces of plants and leaves but there weren't many plants around the pool. The parking is outdoors and everyone parks along the fence line opposite the unit building. If it was raining it would be hard to unpack the car. Also, if there was a hail storm there is no cover for cars at all.

Very Clean room and attention to detail. Staff was welcoming and very accommodating.

Better attention to rowdy visitors. The first night we woke up at 4:30 -5:30am to running, giggling and slamming of doors. This was clearly heard thoughout the apartments and we know staff heard this as our room was located next to a storage room. Staff attended to that storage room while the kids ran a muck at early hours. I Spoke to the next door people and found the same family had caused a scene the previous night also. Although with this is no fault to the hotel and such little you can do, maybe voice a quiet time rule at check in to help.

the light controls didn't allow me to switch off the light over the mirror in the main sleeping area. it was quite glary!. Also the Aircon was fixed, so once i turned it on it was set at a specific temperature - it would have been nice to be able to have the ability to change this to suit my needs.

We were there for 7 nights and had a wonderful stay - will be back there on the next visit Service was fantastic and just wonderful people, Pool was sensational and location to the Theme parks very close! A highly recommended place to stay.

Nothing at all.

The room was clean and comfortable. Decor was outdated but everything was in working order.

There was a closed gate at one side of the hotel on the driveway. It would have been handy for reception to let us know the code to get out on that side of the road. We were off to a party a few streets away & would have been quicker for us to get out that way. Also whenever we put the key into the socket it turned on the light plus the ceiling fan. We could not figure out how to get the ceiling fan part off. Perhaps some instructions in the room would be handy.

The room was clean and exactly as described. Pretty good location in close proximity to several restaurants and a few minutes' drive from a large shopping centre with Coles, Woolworths and other shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Free wifi and lots of parking. The kitchenette was very useful and well-appointed.

It is a little annoying that the check in hours are so restricted but for us, it wasn't a problem as it fit in ok with our schedule and we were able to get a slightly earlier check in at 1200 by asking ahead. Decor a little dated.

great location for the 2 activities we were here to do. Nice cold aircon and really helpful front desk when the sat nav took us to the wrong entrance one phone call to sort us out.

the telly was out dated couldn’t get the HD channels to work and would of loved Foxtel to watch the footy but ended going out for dinner to watch it. Bed was a bit too soft would of preferred something more firm.
