Argosy On The Beach

Great location but we were staying at clifton gardens apartment. Very secure parking. Amazing location. Certainly would recommend the location

Car parking a bit hard to navigate but we were in apartment at clifton gardens which is another apartment near argosy on the beach. Bed in this apartment was very hard. Unfortunately next to this apartment is a high rise building in construction phase so bit noisy but when that is complete will be lovely and quiet. The apartments in argosy on the beach would be nice and quiet.

Well equipped apartment. Good kitchen with everything in good working order. Comfortable bed. Good pool, well furnished balcony overlooking the beach. Overall a good place to stay in a quieter area, away from the noise and business of Palm Cove but close enough to benefit from the facilities there. Easy and secure parking. The wallabies and stone curlews visited the garden regularly and we even saw a frogmouth after the rain!

Bathroom a little tired - but still very clean. Internet did not work very well - not at all to the rear of the property (bedroom) and intermittent in the front. We had to rely on our roaming data to have a reliable connection.

Overall really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and well maintained. Good quality sheets and towels, including beach towels. Large apartment with large bedrooms and two bathrooms/toilets. Lift meant it was easy to get suitcases up to 4th floor. The manger was lovely and very friendly and helpful. Nice views of ocean out the front and rainforest out the back, great big balcony at front and small balcony at back. Undercover parking at back building. Dryer really helpful to dry beach towels between multiple trips to beach. Cool sea breazes from front to back kept apartment at an ideal temperature. Great book library. Very peaceful, only the sound of waves and birds. Guests and residents in other apartments were all quiet and well behaved. Wallabies/kangaroos out the back most afternoons and evenings!! Beach out the front is perfect for kids. Playground and yummy restaurant Coco Mojo both in less than 10 minute walking distance. Clifton Beach shopping centre conveniently located near by with supermarket, chemist, bottle shop, bakery, butcher etc.

Only minor dislikes. Insufficient quantities of small bowls and small plates so had to use dishwasher more often but not enough dishwasher tablets for that many uses of dishwasher. Also no plastic wrap, silver foil, baking paper or cooking oil provided. Whilst it is a self catering apartment it's difficult for interstate visitors to bring these items with them or take home, and it's hard or expensive to buy these things in small quantities so it would be really helpful if these items were provided, as they are for many other places we have stayed at. More clothes hangers would also be great as there is lots of hanging space but only a few hangers.

Beautiful spacious ground floor 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathroom it was very spacious and clean and pool was directly out the front, beds are very comfortable. Loved sitting on the balcony listening to the beach and the palm trees lying on the day beds. There were wallabies in the afternoon at the back of the property and were always fun to see. Highly recommended for families.

Cant say that there wasn't anything I didn't enjoy, the only thing I can think of was the wifi as smart TV wouldn't connect to the internet, but in the end didn't bother me as we weren't there to watch TV

Argosy on the Beach was an excellent place to stay for a holiday in the Cairns area. The apartment has a great view over the palms trees and beachfront. The apartment was well furnished, with all the amenities provided too. The air-conditioning was great too when the humidity was getting a bit much. The apartment is located only a short walk to Palm Cove along the bike track, and also close to a supermarket in Clifton Beach for shopping.

Fabulous location right across the road from the beach. Clifton Beach is one of the quieter beaches with mainly locals so nice and quiet. Palm Cove is a busy beach with a huge range of dining options and is only a half hour stroll up the beach from Clifton.

We would have liked an upper floor room but did have easy access on the ground floor. We could hear the upstairs neighbor talking when on his rear verandah but weren't disturbed when sleeping.

The apartment was very spacious, the bed comfortable, the balcony was huge and the view of the sea was a million dollar view. The kitchen in our apartment had recently been updated, it was well set out with more than adequate crockery, saucepans etc.

Phone cover was terrible but that was in the area in general. The wifi was very poor. It would have been good to have some more choice in TV channels but I guess that's to be expected in the area in general. Walking distance to a supermarket and a couple of restaurants.

Opposite beach.area undeveloped which is a delight. Close to Coles etc , Apt 6 is large , dining kitchen. Two toilets. There is an extra bedroom ,no doubt it's ensuite. Undercover parking. Lift.all well kept. Manager a Judith a delight.!!

Lounges are super soft...."bury" the sitter. Mattress to firm for us. No dishwasher. Patio doors very hard to slide.

Wonderfully spacious and clean unit, right across the road from the beach. Great location but quiet and away from the busyness of Palm Cove and Cairns. The pool and grounds were very tidy and clean and the manager Judith was really friendly and helpful. Kind of didn't want to do this review because I don't want to find it's all booked up next time we want to go. We will definitely be back!

The wifi was a bit touchy, going on and off.

Location was excellent. Stinger net to sea swim safely just a pleasant 4 minutes walk away. Wallabies grazing on rear grass area so cool to appreciate as well.

No coffee plunger in kitchen. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom … the one on the roller half used … the unit was clean but the carpets require a deep clean or replacing as they are tired, old & lost their lustre. Also I think for what u pay no Netflix or Fox or Stan Sport channels. Just free to air TV which is largely rubbish in Australia.
