Charters Towers Motel

The room was clean and beautifully presented. Complimentary bottles of water and biscuits were supplied. The parking space was generously proportioned and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was also an attractive park across the street for a morning or afternoon stroll.

The mattress on the double bed was quite spongy and I prefer a firm bed. I think it must have been a foam mattress which others may prefer. My daughter who accompanied me found the single bed more comfortable.

Seemed like a “ma and pop” type place with lovely little touches such as a quite realistic plastic flower on the bed, free packet of biscuits and 2 free bottles of water. Very comfortable. Exceptionally clean. Nice large parking spaces right outside your unit door just right for loaded 4x4s.

The dog barking out the back of the units right outside our toilet/shower. The strange young man walking up and down the units talking on the speaker phone for seemingly hours. He was nice but noisy.

Location was good, close to what I needed. The staff were friendly and accomodating. When I was getting there late the Manger made other arrangements so I could get in my room. The decore is very nice.

The facilities were fine but I hate shower curtains as they tend to stick to you as you shower. The rooms are definately not sound proof as I could hear my neighbours talking out side late at night and the cleaners early morning.

this property had a great feel to it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with lots of helpful suggestions about activities around the town, and places to eat.. The room was clean and very well presented with several small touches like a flower on the rolled towels, and a packet of wafer biscuits in the fridge in addition to the usual couple of biscuits and beverages. There was also a kitchenette with a full kitchen sink in addition to the usual bathroom basin. The undercover parking was also appreciated.

This is only a very minor gripe in an otherwise excellent motel. The layout of the bathroom was a bit awkward, with no shaving mirror over the basin, and the need to be a double jointed contortionist to reach the toilet roll.

The motel was "neat as a pin", staff were very helpful and friendly. They personalised the experience at any opportunity. The room had a couple of bonuses - a sink for dishwashing and a bathtub! There was a cute outdoor seating area outside the room and a shared BBQ/pool area. It was opposite a lovely park and a short walk to another. There is a very nice historic hotel with an old fashioned dining room where we had a surprisingly good meal, well cooked.

Friendly service upon arrival, and open to the time that was mentioned, but had been given a friendly phone call before hand. The little things that made the room more of a nice feel (flowers, not real), on beds, biscuits (wafers) in fridge. Beds were comfortable for my liking. Decent sized. Clean rooms. Parking outside room.

To be honest, there was really nothing I could fault or to complain about. There was not alot of noise to be heard from outside. Least it was open to the time it was mentioned on the website. Beds were not too hard or soft for my liking. No complaints to mention.

Being on the main road into town, the motel was easy to locate. The room was clean and comfortable. I don't eat breakfast so I cannot comment on this aspect of the facilities provided by the motel. There was ample space for off-street car parking.

Charters Towers appears to be a focal point for itinerant workers. They appeared to do their best to limit the noise they make in the early hours of the morning while leaving for work but were not always successful.

The wafers and bottled water in the fridge was a present surprise. The room was lovely, nice and clean with everything we needed for our stay. Will definately stay here again when visiting Charters Towers.

The pillows for the beds. They were a bit flat and uncomfortable and seemed due for an upgrade. Other than that I couldn’t really fault the room.

Very comfortable and roomy. Bed was very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Check in was easy and the manager was very informative about where to have a meal in Charters Towers. Car parking was under cover, right outside the door made for easy access.

The only problem I had was I couldn't find the light switch for the toilet.

The property was very clean and smelt great. Equipped with all the essentials we needed for a one night stay. Great location with welcoming staff who made the effort to call to check when we would be arriving. The fridge was also well stocked with additional little treats.
