Arena Hotel (formerly Sleep Express Motel)

Hey ive been to the this venue a few times with my dog "photo" im verry happy with the motel. Its affordabl, close to where I need to be. Its pet friendly(with warning) late check ins and some ine at reception 24 hours. Yeah i like it.

Ok . Well when travelling alone. I like to watch porn . As do all men. But I found there was a security's protector on the wifi or tv. So for evry clip of porn i had to stop and disable this protector. It was tedious. No wonder you remotes have wet stuff all over them. Also beds on wheels on lino floors. Dangerous and unsexy.. That is all

The rooms were perfect in terms of the combination of beds for our family and an extra unrelated guest. We had a joined room with three singles in one room and a double/queen and a single in the other. Good room for bigger families.

My son was not able to collect the key before hand and I was told I would need to amend the booking in order for him to do so. This was difficult as we were driving and it would have been good to be able to sort it out verbally over the phone. Thankfully, my son was able to get into our booking and add himself - all worked out in the end. No shower hub, and curtains that do not quite reach the floor, meant that there was very quickly a lot of water on the floor.

The whole trip was super last minute anyway for my husband and brother to go to the State of Origin. The bed was comfy enough for 1 night for 1 adult and 2 kids. The traffic was constant all night, I forget that Sydney doesn't sleep. The shower was a touch low on the wall, I'd hate to think how my 6-foot husband and brother went in their room. But I believe they managed. Staff were polite and helpful when I'd locked myself out of room only 30 mins after check-in.

We booked a 3-star hotel due to the proximity to our long weekend visit (grandchildren sports at St Paul's Oval), so we were not expecting the Hilton. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation ... comfortable bed, warm shower, and air conditioning. The breakfast dining area was exceptionally clean and tidy with provisions available to suit your breakfast wishes.

Unfortunately, we were unable to use our 'Stay NSW Voucher' ($50 value) because we did not book directly with the Arena Hotel. We could not view any of the ABC television channels due to video pixelation, possibly due to poor signal strength. The bathroom vanity basin taps (both hot and cold) were difficult to operate, needed to turn off tight to stop water dripping,

Stayed using as a base for sight seeing on our Wedding Anniversary weekend, 15mins to Parramatta Ferry, close enough to drive to city centre if you wish. As always great value for money, little to no road noise, plenty of free off street parking, walking distance to Coles etc very comfortable clean bed, pillows, bathroom etc. Staff are always friendly and breakfast was great. 4th stay here, we will be back in October. Friendly staff, walking distance to the shopping village, clean room and ensuite, and decent size bar fridge. Non-smoking venue.

Strong smell of cleaning fragrance, no spare blankets, and pillows (but you can request from reception - found out at check-out). Cigarette smoke drifting inside when smokers congregate outside in the carpark.

The facilities were brilliant. The service was excellent, although I wish someone had been there for checkout.

The location was not so great for walkers. I needed to be in Lidcombe, near the tafe. It was an absolute nightmare to walk there, even though the place looked very close on a map. There are not many footpaths nearby.

Very helpful and friendly staff. I was running into traffic, and when I rang they allowed me to book in after my evening event due to 24 hour reception which allowed me time to get to the event on time!

The room I was originally allocated was in the quiet rear area, but had been occupied by the time I arrived. The second room I was given was at the front on the ground floor with traffic noise which took me some time to get to sleep.

The location was why I chose the place in the firdt place so liked that. Service was good. Room was a lot more than I thought it was, comfortable and clean.

Didn't have any toilet paper in our room, and when I asked they ran out, but thankfully I got given one roll which they had, but for a hotel to not have spare toilet paper was a let down other than that really good

As always when we stay here, clean, well looked after, great on site parking, great facilities, very comfortable beds, little to no road noise despite being on a main road. Excellent value for money. Great place to stay as a base when you're sight seeing around Sydney. Parramatta Ferry Wharf is 15 min drive. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. See you in September 😃
