The Parkview Hotel Mudgee

The room was well appointed in the style of the property, bathroom great and the location being 1 block back from the township and across the road from a beautiful park. Great upstairs veranda open to everyone with views over the park, nice outdoor furniture and an ice machine! Cafe in the garden area (not part of hotel) serving great breakfasts and coffee.

Being on the intersection of highways, there was some traffic noise, but the windows did provide significant noise reduction, so not really an issue unless you are a very light sleeper.

the rooms are well appointed and large. we stayed in Suite 1 and then Suite 2 and both were quiet nice. they both opened out to the absolutely gorgeous balcony! it was much nicer in Suite 2 though with the outlook over the cafe and more greenery. Having the cafe downstairs is a plus! The location is also unbeatable. close to town and other amenities with easy parking.

The Suite 2 can get noisy. if you’re wanting to sleep in it’s a little hard with the cafe music and the staff preparing for the morning with stools banging onto the brick floor and them chatting. as the hotel is on a busy roundabout and part of a major route, there was early morning traffic noise from large trucks.

Away for the weekend with a group of friends. Very happy with the Parkview hotel even though I believe the price was rather high for country NSW. Could have had a Sydney Harbour hotel for cheaper. Location was great, can stroll into the shops and pubs. If you stay, try and get an upper room as you have direct access to the balcony. Great for pre dinner drinks and watching the world go by.

Breakfast wasn't included for the high price. Went to the Cafe attached to the hotel and paid $13 for two, not very good scones. If you are after breakfast, walk into town and try one of the cafes. 5 minute walk to Cades Kitchen & Bar which had great breakfasts. Found everything expensive, the term Mudgee Tax was used a lot.

The Parkview Hotel is very close to town so it is easy to walk to the shops. The room was comfortable and spacious.We had a kitchenette in our room and access to the balcony. The staff were exceptional; friendly and professional. The is a great little cafe downstairs that serves a delicious breakfast, it closes up in the early afternoon so there is no night noise.

The kitchenette had a full sized dishwasher and a very small fridge. If I had a choice I would go for a larger fridge and a drawer dishwasher. If it sounds like I am being picky I would point out that the kitchen is not really set up for cooking. It is perfect for making a light breakfast, which was exactly what we were looking for, but then it is easy enough to wash those dishes up. I had to take all of the minibar items out of the fridge to fit in our essentials. Not a great drama. Also the freezer did not properly freeze our ice pack which we needed for the next leg of our journey.

Spacious elegant room and on-suite tastefully decorated and furnished. Private large wrap around veranda was also a great spot especially in warmer weather. Hotel were very helpful and understanding in allowing us to change booking date at last minute because of car issues.

Double glazing on large sash period windows was great thoughtful addition on to keep out road noise but did limit ability to open sash windows to get some fresh air especially at night. So would be good to have this option if possible.

Its the second time that I have stayed at the park view hotel, both times the room has been immaculate. The Receptionist greeted me with a positive attitude and was very pleasant, would highly recommend the park view for a get away in mudgee. Close to mudgee city centre, able to walk back after a few drinks with dinner at any of the restaurants or pubs.

Great location walking distance into town opposite beautiful Robertson Park, nicely refurbished and very clean room. Easy parking options. Great air conditioning. We were happy with our 2 night stay, value for money for us.

Windows are double glazed and did not open which we could understand given hotel location on the turn off corner to Gulgong. I prefer fresh air, thankfully the air con worked a treat! Small reception area a little dark and dirty as a first impression to hotel, warm welcome by

Lovely hotel with very generous and warm rooms. Modern bathrooms and generous breakfast.

We struggled to lock our door from the inside while sleeping at night but we also didn’t get around to asking staff regarding this so this is our only issue

We loved our overnight stay at the Parkview. Beautifully restored, classy and comfortable. Bed was divine.

You did get a bit of foot noise from the staircase. That didn't really bother us at all, but it might bother some. It's only to be expected in an older historic character building like it is.

The look, the reception staff (best I’ve ever struck, I reckon), situated on the corner of a very busy highway but without exception the trucks travelling overnight were amazingly considerate; no exhaust brakes and quiet operation around our corner.
