Long Hostel

Good location, clean rooms, free breakfast, and very friendly staff and owner. It's a nice place to stay in Saigon.

No blinds in the window, which makes it hard to sleep in early morning.

I dropped some questions for the reception ahead of our arrival and never received any reply even though information was easily available. So do not expect too much engagement from them.

Amazing hostel. Rooms are spacious, clean & uniquely decorated to give a nice homly feel. Location is excellent, in district 1 (tourist area), walking distance to bus stops & local attractions. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Tours can be booked via hostel ( Tunnels, Delta, food tour etc) & laundry. Free water refill at reception. Free breakfast was one of the highlights. Nice vibes at breakfast as everyone sits around the one big table. The Banana Pancakes are unbelievable!! Would definitely stay here again.

The only small thing preventing this hostel from getting a 10 is that the hold for the shower head in our room was broken so you had to hold the hose the whole time. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker!

I had a room to myself at the back of the hostel on the 4th floor: 80 steps with no lift but this wasn't a serious issue, I much preferred the relative peace and quiet. Room was clean and there was even a microwave (I didn't use it) along with an electric kettle. It was better than I expected. The breakfast, included, was basic but nice to have, and be able to interact with other travellers, in the communal area on the ground floor.

I didn't have a problem, the hostel was better than I expected when booking and I had an extended stay there. It's in a convenient location for transport and sightseeing.

During my whole stay in Vietnam, this centrally located accommodation, Long Hostel was among the best. Cam, the owner and proprietor is a gem of a person, with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent English. Her helpfulness and kindness contributed to my wonderful stay along with the general coziness of my private room. Additionally, as noted in other reviews, the excellent breakfast and its options available like banana pancakes or egg varieties are wonderful. I would not think to look anywhere else, Long's Hostel, ticks all the boxes and I would definitely stay here again when visiting HCMC.

My Room had , fridge , microwave, tv , sound bar , AC , wall fan , almost 22 plug points , four sectioned almirahs , two queen beds , dish washing area on the outside gallery separate , Above all very helpful and friendly lady owner , gave address of best currency exchange and next to it sim card at 220 vnd , Mekong tour she booked was excellent, also negotiated for me with a cheating yellow cab driver from the airport.

Only my room was on 4 th floor and there was no lift , it was an extra cardio. Did carry my luggage in one go 3 bags ... Plus was more peaceful as on the last floor .

Really good location, free breakfast included, staff very friendly and helpful, large room and clean, good value for money, air con. They did a laundry service and we booked a trip with them which was cheaper than via trip advisor

Nothing really - very minor -bathroom all clean but just a bit old but not an issue as all worked well and was really great place to stay overall.

Nutritious breakfast , nice dorm ( money's worth) and super location . Route 109 takes you to the HCMC airport for 15K VND , Route 13 ( and thereafter Route 79 ) , take you to the best part of the Cu Chi tunnel. The bus depot is just across the road.

NOTHING I CAN THINK OF. EVERYTHING WAS MONEY'S WORTH.THE OWNER,THE BEST AMONG THE LOT,SMILING AND HELPFUL.

Great stay. Very kind owner! Breakfast is delicious. Fried egg banh mi and banana pancakes were my go to with hot or iced coffee. Laundry was easy to have done, drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the evening. Nicely folded as well, very kind! Did both the Mekong Delta tour and Chi Chi Tunnels, highly reccomend! Easy to walk to alot of the attraction. Also easy access to public transport. Very kind people and highly recommend!

• 2 of the 3 mornings, there were around 20 backpackers waiting in the small lobby which also doubles as the breakfast area but they weren’t there for too long as I think they were waiting to depart for something • unfortunately that meant it was just quite noisy and i didn’t get my breakfast in time as I was leaving for a tour (staff did give me a banh mi to takeaway though no coffee)
