The Waters of Minocqua

Beautiful lobby and the room was a pretty decor matching the woodsy theme. They were very accommodating for our dog. We stayed in a first floor room with a patio door, which allowed us to easily let our dog outside. Beautiful location surrounded by the pine forest! The pool & water park are fantastic for a family! The staff was fabulous and very helpful!

The restaurant and the pottery studio, were both closed earlier in the week. The arcade was enjoyable but, several games weren’t working or one of the “ball” games was out of balls! (Which we didn’t realize until after we had wasted credits on it.)

Staff behind the counter, breakfast setup and cleaning crew are very helpful Beds are good and comfortable, Parking lot has plenty of space and electric at poles for boat battery charging Eating area with tables nice for breakfast.

Rooms need a bit of an upgrade (starting to show its age and wear) Broken window up the stairs looks to have been there a while. (Looks tacky with duct tape) Ice Maker on north 2nd floor is broken or needs some work Would be nice to have some things going on at the bar/restaurant. Seems to always be closed or uninviting One of the young pool lifeguards seems to have a power trip.

Beautiful place, very rustic, especially the fireplace. Our room was large, remodeled. Could always install grips for we older folks getting in and out of high tubs. Did mention at front desk. Tub was extremely difficult especially for husband with replaced knee. Could always install more hooks to hang wet towels, bathing suits. The beds being in a metal frame did seem to make noise getting in and out of the beds. We only had the coffee in morning, not big on cereal or waffles, no eggs , bacon, or sausage. Our tv was not programmed in room, young lady at front desk came to our room and was able to connect. She was very nice, and expressed they were short staffed, as many businesses cannot get help. We live in Illinois, and did road trip to shop for log furniture, and booked accommodation from searching on line. Was a beautiful lodge, and reasonably priced. Beautiful area with snow for snowmobiling, and I’m sure has a lot to offer summertime. Young lady at desk offered her recommendation to THE BOATHOUSE restaurant with perfect views of the snow covered lake ;high praise for her giving us easy directions and a 5star dinner.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good. There were plenty of towels which was great! I liked that we could purchase drinks or snacks at the front desk. The staff was very friendly.

There was someone's chewed gum and garbage on the balcony from whoever stayed before us. The coffee cups were Styrofoam... that felt kind of cheap. I don't like that people can smoke on their balcony because the smoke travels over to our balcony. There should be a designated smoking area away from everyone.

Tastefully built & decorated with north woods theme throughout. Wow factor upon entering high-ceilinged, lodge style lobby centered around fireplace with many comfortable seating areas. Well stocked gift & convenient shop with treats, clothing, swimwear & more. Awesome, large arcade area. Variety in multiple pool areas, in and outdoor suited children & adults. Beautiful setting from curb appeal to looking out back into wooded area. Staff was extremely personable & helpful.

•The beds are exceptionally comfortable •it was great to have a microwave and fridge in the room •it was so nice that they had the waterslide open since it was the 4th of July •the continental breakfast is so nice for a family to enjoy •the arcade was really fun for our younger kids

•it would be nice to have some protein at breakfast, like eggs and sausage •it was fun when they had real basketballs for the hoops in the pool •the snack bar hasn't been open the couple times we've stayed here

It was nice to have coffee/tea available all day. We enjoyed having the little patio. We watched it snow!!

The only low carbohydrate (keto) breakfast option was hard boiled eggs. Since we stayed four nights we ended up going out for breakfast some of the days or making bacon in our room microwave. Maintenance fixed the room heater during our stay. We could tell the lodge was being updated. They were painting in the waterpark area. Our room had issues on the bathroom ceiling.

The free breakfast was GREAT! 🥰

The low toilet seats were very uncomfortable. Maybe a grab bar would help, and in the tub (can’t recall if one was available). The extremely high side of tub almost resulted in a slip and fall, as not noticeable until attempting to step out over the side:( Unfortunately, I’ve had shoulder and hip surgeries. I preferred to not select a handicap room. Thank you very much, we had a WONDERFUL time!!! 🥰

I liked how they gave us a first floor room. Also I liked how cozy it was. They had a gluten free option for breakfast which was very nice due to my wheat allergy was only gf bread but was still nice to have. I will be back next year.

The people above us were stomping around at like 1 in the morning really didn't appreciate that to much..they kept it up for a while.. Also one of the baristas that worked in the coffee shop was kinda rude.. I understand it sucks working on weekends but a jobs a job you know.. Other then that everything was great.

The room was lovely. We loved the balcony (we were in the back) and sat there when in the room. The pool area is very nice, it was just too crowded during our stay. The location is wonderful.

Breakfast was ok but more choices would be nice. There was a wedding while we were there, so the hotel was very crowded. The pool area was dirty. Other guests were very loud after hours. But that isn't the hotels fault.
