The French Country Inn

Firstly, you are greeted with a kind well informed manager that clearly loves serving the public. There is a fascinating history of the hotel. I highly recommend speaking to Eric the manager. For the details Greeted with a beautigully manicured site and a lovely pool invites you to swim. Room #203 was very spacious had a jacuzzi, BEST BED EVER, fridge, Keurig and a nice 50" Vizio TV. French doors overlooking lake como with yer own bistro set to watch the pretty sunset or wrlcomibg sunrise. A Controllable a/c & a fireplace. Sky light with a wonderful ceiling fan. Offered a continental breakfast. The restaurant "the Getaway" was exceptional. I had coconut shrimp, fried ravioli, halibut & risotto.

No usb to charge devices in the room. Not a real set of blackout curtains

excellent location, super short drive from busier Lake Geneva downtown if you wanted more action or a perfect relaxation here on the spot - we stayed 2 nights and and first day we completely devoted to staying at Lake Como/property, and 2nd chilled a bit at Lake Geneva and returned for another amazing sunset here at the French Country Inn

I wish the breakfast restaurant was open also on Monday - the continental breakfast is included, served inside the main building, but there is also an option of dining at the restaurant adjacent to the property that we had an amazing breakfast at on Sunday morning

We had dinner the first night, the restaurant there, the Getaway attached to the French Country Inn was absolutely wonderful. We had Chicken Marsala, The Mussels (so great!) and Salmon. Our server was phenomenal. Great service, wonderful personality. Breakfast the next day we had the Crab Eggs Benedict at a table looking over the Lake Como, breakfast was so delicious, the view outstanding.

the gas fireplace in our guest room was not working, it was not cold in room, but at night was looking to take the chill out of the air, was not horrible, but wish we could have got that to work for just a bit.

I loved the whole experience.The location on the lake was breath taking. Eric was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We will DEFINITELY be back. It has become the best place that I have ever stayed at. We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary and I couldn't have asked for a better place, so cozy and romantic. The Getaway restaurant was awesome we waited for our food for a bit but we didn't mind at all just sitting and enjoying the atmosphere was an excellent experience. The breakfast was exceptional deliciousness to the max. Thank you for making The French Country Inn and The Getaway so memorable.

The only thing was the bathroom light didn't work but we used our phones to get light at night when we had to use it. Other than that everything was FANTASTIC.

It was cozy, clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. The view, lovely. The restaurant was really great! Amazing bed and pillows, too. Loved our stay!

Just the shower in our private suite. Getting the right temperature was difficult. I suggest adding instructions. Also, we went for our honeymoon and when we called we were told that they didn't do anything special for honeymoons, but when we left we were told differently. I wish the lady who told us had checked before saying there wasn't as it could discourage newlyweds from booking.

beautifully situated on lake como. cute in every way. It had cool history and almost had an antique feel to it. The restaurant had a good breakfast and stunning views.

The location is not directly in lake Geneva where everything is located. Its about a 7 minute drive. The water from the bathroom sink had a foul taste/smell. I couldn’t wash my face with the water. The balcony is shared with the room next door, only a simple divider. The people next to us had loud country music on, so we had to listen to that.

1) off the beaten path 2) cleanest room ever. 3) towels and bedding literally smelled like my grandmas laundry. 4) cleanest best smelling hotel I’ve ever stayed at. 5) right on the water, kayaks and paddle boards available for guests to use. 6) History, lots of it! 7) restaurant on the property

stayed close to main building/restaurant. loud in the patio until that closed. should have requested a room further towards the other end.

Right on the beach and the viiew of sunset was amazing!! Room is old and it gear toward older adults. Good for us but not for younger adults

When use the coupon to buy breakfast in their restaurant, they charge a hotel fee so the $10 coupon is actually worth about $6. It is not a big deal but we kinda feel like being tricked

The friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. I also loved that we could use the kayaks or paddle boards free of charge. Excellent dinner at their restaurant. Fresh flowers hanging everywhere. The continental breakfast choices were way better than most inns.

The matress.

Lovely location directly on the lake. Excellent view and beautiful dining area - both inside and outside. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Would have liked an additional shelf to the left of the sink, as not much space to store make-up, etc.
