Walla Walla Garden Motel

I had alot of trouble locating the property first time there because of the very poor Google Maps directions. I asked the hotel manager if they could try and contact GM to see about correcting the error. Otherwise, the hotel room was spotless. Not crazy about the television not being able to be seen from the bed like 99% of hotels but that's a minor inconvenience. The free wifi worked perfectly and a nice little fridge was convenient as was the ice machine right next door. Parking with a utility trailer attached to the car was a little tricky but overall, a really good value for the four nights I stayed.

Garden Model is a very cute and quaint stay just outside of downtown WW! I was very impressed with what Google ranks as a "one star hotel" and believe the quality and especially service far exceeds that. Rooms were ready on time (actually, early) and very clean/cozy. Sure, it is a smaller bathroom and "older" feel than you would get at some luxury corporate hotel, but I far prefer the coziness Garden Motel offered. Staff/Owner was exceptional. Would recommend and stay here again!

You aren't going to get the fancy bells/whistles than if you were to pay far more. AC is a box window unit which isn't ideal but it was not bothersome and worked just fine. Only other thing is there could have been more lighting (i.e., a ceiling light). Otherwise though these are not dealbreakers and I was not displeased with any of these items.

Met our expectations. It's a family-owned enterprise, and it's always good to support local businesses. It's a few miles removed from the town center, and that's a good thing; to get a true feel for a place, you need to go beyond the downtown. Clean room, comfy bed.

The bed takes up most of the room. The TV, which is scarcely larger than a desktop monitor, is affixed to a bracket that swings out from the wall to give you a bigger picture. :) There's a desk, but no table; we played cards on the bed. In short, if the 'room experience' is part of the trip, look elsewhere. If you just want to rest and refresh for the next day's adventure, it's good value.

This is not a fancy place, but it is a pleasant place to stay that is clean, quiet and comfortable with lots of surprise extras like glasses- not plastic cups, porcelain mugs, plates, bowls and silverware and comfortable seating. And a pleasant garden and close to town and Whitman College. It’s reasonably priced, and we’d definitely stay again.

Everything was fine. There was some unusual noise briefly from the fridge, but it stopped and the room was exceptionally quiet all night. We liked the garden area in front of the motel. The woman running it when she checked in was great. And I can't remember the last time I was able to park my car literally in front of my room; even in motels, I somehow or another always end up on the second floor or the back end or something.

There was nothing we didn't like. If we had had more luggage, the room might have seemed a bit small, but not a problem for us traveling light.

Charming vintage style with a clean modern update. The grounds are lovely, the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable. We'll stay there again.

The bathroom is tiny, but very clean and serviceable, and there is no way to make it bigger. Oh, I would have loved to have had a coffee maker instead of instant, but there are plenty of places nearby to purchase coffee.

It is very clean, cute, comfortable for one or two people. The room is small. Plenty of hot water. I judge a room by the number of chairs (I am too old to perch on the bed). This room had two comfortable chairs. The garden was lovely. with the biggest hibiscus flowers I have ever seen. (extra points!)

I decided to take a personal “retreat” and couldn’t have made a better choice for my stay. My cozy room was quiet and had everything I needed to kick back and relax. The lovely garden out front was a delightful spot for meditation and breathing fresh air. It was just a short drive to a supermarket so I could stock the mini fridge with simple breakfast food and snacks for tv time. The location was away from the busier part of town but was on the main road to reach all the amenities of downtown. I had a lovely, rejuvenating retreat!

A hook in the bathroom would have been a nice place for my robe while I showered. Also, I noticed as I was prepping to leave that former guests had left some clothing items in the dresser?!

I liked that this is a small old fashioned motor hotel with updated rooms and modern amenities and family ownership. Our visit was brief so we didn't get to experience everything beyond the basics, but we had excellent communication from the hotel and a very personalized feel.

Nothing could have been better.

The staff were very friendly and it was very clean. It was almost rustic in its charm. It’s older but measures have been taken to ensure its CB lean and comfortable.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable. It wasn’t horrible but also wasn’t super comfy. I slept fine after I got comfortable so it was fine.
