Honest Review: Let me begin by saying the staff here was amazing. I have to give a special shout out to Irvenia with hospitality. She was so very kind. The custodial staff were awesome. When I say this hotel was spotless, I mean it. The entire time we were there we witnessed cleaning of the bathrooms, dining area and common areas throughout the day. I was met with pleasantries by all; always a “good morning” “good evening” and smiles. I couldn’t wait to leave a review. Seriously, since the lockdown, I feel like customer service started tanking everywhere. So it was a breath of fresh air to be met with such kindness and politeness across the board. The daily breakfast was always warm and plentiful. Whether you went at 8 am or 10:45 a.m. there was never an empty tray of food. The staff were constantly cleaning the counters and topping off the food trays. The dining room was also consistently being cleaned. Staff members were always wiping down tables and cleaning the floors. With Covid 19 still lingering, this was a welcomed sight. The menu is slightly changed each day so that there is variety. The hotel room appeared to be newly decorated\renovated and again spotless. I appreciated the simple but comfortable environment. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee machine in the room. #Winning. Full service room cleaning was available, however, I took advantage of the option to arrange for new towels and linens to be delivered when needed in lieu of a formal room cleaning. This gave me the ability to relax and not have to worry about room service showing up at an inconvenient time. The housekeeping service was fast and accommodating. I look forward to visiting again in the later months. Best hotel stay I’ve had in awhile.

My only complaint was that the noise level from the room above was quite noticeable. I’m assuming it was more so from the balcony and the constant opening and closing of the sliding door. Surprisingly I didn’t experience any hallway or neighboring room noise. Just that from above. Lastly, the apparent marijuana smell that kept wafting into my room was not great. I cannot blame this too much on the hotel as this is more of a visitor violation to the no smoking policy. Again, the smell probably stemming from the balcony above me.

We loved the location, oceanfront rooms, cleanliness, and comfortable beds. The location is next to the King Neptune statue and King Neptune pavillion. The staff was friendly and accommodating. A table of bottled water and snack bars were periodically left in the lobby to grab and go.The breakfast was wonderful! We enjoyed rotating egg, meat, and potato dishes as well as make your own waffles, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit.

There's was only 1 working elevator out of 2 making long waits if you had to carry things to your room. The elevator has been out for 6 months, but they're hoping to get it repaired by the end of September 2023.

I loved the location, the staff was really helpful, love that there’s a restaurant inside the hotel (with happy hour!). Beds were comfortable, the view was beautiful, the location was excellent. Breakfast was complementary and different every day, which was super thoughtful for people staying several days. It won’t get boring. This is a great hotel and I would go here again in a heartbeat!

The only thing I didn’t like is there were some sounds from renovation here and there, but it didn’t really detract from our overall experience at all. I was happy to see that they keep up with maintenance and upkeep.

We loved staying in Hampton Inn during our family travel to Virginia Beach this month for just 3 nights, however that was absolutely relaxing and efficient. Hotel is located perfectly close to the very ocean shore entrance and the broadwalk. Hotel served a great breakfast and an open parking which is located opposite/west side and keeps cars not so heated during the most of the day. Room service needs to be asked otherwise all is the same as everywhere else I think in a good way. We went to the ocean and back several times a day so it was great we had no need to drive anywhere to park. Cape Henry & Fort Story is just several miles northbound from it to see a great place of two old and new Cape Henry lighthouses. Also 3 miles southbound you can enjoy the aquarium and an adventure park with tree climbing our kids enjoyed a lot. We enjoyed an evening pizza and bar open afternoon till 10pm - absolutely great food and great staff. Overall a great stay for money.

The upgrades each year definitely show. They are still working on the elevators but taking the stairs wasn’t a huge hassle. We enjoyed the family sized complimentary products in the bathroom and the ability to refill water bottles in the lobby area. These are huge details for a family that tries to reduce one time plastic use. The location is absolute perfection and within walking distance (mostly) of everything we wanted to see/do. The staff makes this hotel. Every year we stay we appreciate the staff more; I don’t think there is a harder working group of people anywhere else who are this amazing and friendly. Kudos to the staff and their hustle.

There is nothing about the property that we don’t like; this is our favorite location on the boardwalk. There could be improvements to the breakfast in order to make it more eco friendly (such as compostable plates/plastic ware or washable items). Also, our family doesn’t eat pork so a turkey sausage or bacon as an option would’ve been awesome for us. Still, not a dislike, I just grabbed some at the grocery and warmed it up in the room.

We absolutely loved this hotel! Great view with balcony, very clean, comfortable. Up to date and modern furnishings with plenty of outlets and usb ports as well as coat/towel hooks. We added another night last minute and the front desk manager really went above and beyond to make that happen. Great little pizza restaraunt and bar downstairs, decent breakfast options. There is an indoor pool on sight. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. We will absolutely stay here again.

The only negative was that they only had one elevator running during our stay as they were working on one of them. That however is a temporary issue.

Ebony from the kitchen was awesome very friendly. She said good morning to everyone. The food was excellent and this was a very clean hotel. I can really say I enjoyed everything. All staff were friendly and helpful. Front desk staff was awesome as well.

Breakfast was great. Room was very nice and clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Right on the boardwalk. Location was great. Staff were friendly. And best was the hotel now accepts pets. This is a big plus. Great view of the ocean. And they also give have shampoo body wash hand soap and lotion available in the room itself. The towels also were very nice and soft.

The hotel had no where we could sit to eat. We were not allowed to sit in the breakfast area or outside in the patio if we did not irder from their resturant. The elevator was really slow.

The location was great. It was a little away from the center strip and festivities and having to pay to park sucked but the beach wasn't as crowded which was great. The breakfast was good not the greatest but it was free. I loved the ocean front view. The staff was super nice and they were always cleaning. The older gentleman there that maintained the pool was awesome and so great with the kids and he kept the pool area super clean. The restaurant across the street was amazing. The parking was easy and right next to the hotel so no walking across the street like some of the hotels.

The only complaint we have was that we wished they had an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off before we went to the pool. We had to take all our stuff in to rinse off at the one shower located in the pool area. And I hated trying to carry all of our stuff in to rinse it off then having to carry it back to the car. The balcony wasn't big enough for a family of 4 our canopy, beach chairs and toys. The beds were on the hard side but is really any hotel room bed that comfy.

The size of the breakfast area was great! Excellent bar service from Akeira! Happy hour specials were perfectly timed after a day at the beach or sightseeing.

Would have preferred an outdoor pool, but the pool was convenient. Felt like fish in a bowl with the wall of windows though. Would have liked a drain catcher to stop the overflowing of water from balcony to balcony from air conditioner drainage. Being on the 1st floor was quite damp on our patio and felt like it was sprinkling all the time.
