Super friendly staff. This hotel has the only pool in the area. Pretty decent breakfast. Clean room. Very accommodating regarding early check-in, roll away beds, and extra towels. Like I said EXTRA friendly staff, and not just one or two, like EVERYONE we encountered was kind, polite and seemed happy to be there. You don't really see that much anymore.

Shower curtains don't stay closed, they slide down the rod. Hotel Laundry directly across from the elevators near the lobby. Gets super hot in that area, and you can't avoid it. Just basically weird placement. Pool needs a good scrub.

We were there for VT graduation, which means max occupancy and max price. The hotel handled this surge exceptionally well. Staffing was adequate, service never suffered, housekeeping was solid (we got the extra towels we needed promptly with four in our room), breakfast area was well provisioned and delicious. Hotel is pet friendly with a large, well kept grassy area just outside the rear door with provided waste baggies. The beds were comfy and room/bath very nice, though just a basic hotel room size.I would definitely stay here with my family and dog at regular rates.

For some reason my Choice Rewards points were not available for this stay because I used Booking.com. This was a real disappointment because at the premium price we paid due to graduation timing this would have given me a lot of Choice Reward points! That was definitely a gotcha.

Everything is exactly the way it should be. It was a holiday weekend they were sold out. So I paid the published rate. Which was a little high for just a clean standard hotel. But every staff person was engaging and pleasant. Housekeeping right across from our room was so quiet we were surprised to see them when we exited. A dog excited to be going out barked at 5 am and woke us but it was a quite and we fell back to sleep. us.

It was a pleasant stay with a fresh breakfast.

I had 4 requirements for this trip: Free parking, WiFi, a pool and breakfast. All of these were met and more! When we stayed here, it was Memorial Day weekend and the weather had been a bit chilly in the days leading up to it. I was thinking that there was no way the kids would be able to swim in cold water. I was pleasantly surprised that the pool was heated and the kids got to enjoy it both evenings. The breakfast bar was well-stocked with a great variety of options. The sausage and eggs were yummy, my daughter loved the waffle and bagels as well as the sausage and biscuits. Lots of beverage variety as well. MUCH better than other more-expensive hotels we've used in the past. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was well-stocked with toiletries and plenty of towels/wash clothes. The ice, soda and vending machines were nice for a quick snack on our way out. There was a nice little note from the cleaning crew on the notepad, and they were good about checking to see if we needed anything while turning over other rooms. Oh, and even though we didn't bring our dog, it's 100% pet-friendly, so we got to see some adorable fur-babies during our stay. The front desk ladies were friendly, helpful and efficient. It was good to be back in Blacksburg!!!

The only thing that was even a minor inconvenience was the spotlight that was pointed right at our window at night. The blackout curtain minimized it, but there was a glow all around it.

The continental breakfast was really good. The bacon on the last day there was a hit. Liked having snack bars and fruit. The staff were all very friendly.

The cleanness of the hotel could have been better. Dust in the bathroom on the wood shelves to hold your towels. The ice bucket had enough dust and dirt on top of lid. I wouldn’t use it. The hotel rooms need upgrades. especially the towel area no towel racks.

Nice basic overnight hotel for travel at a nice price. Just a few minutes away from VT. I really liked that the lamps in the room had two switches, one for a bright daylight bulb and one for a warm evening bulb. That was a nice touch. So many hotels have just the bright, stark industrial bulbs that are cheap, but don't help you relax before bed.

Only seemed to have full size beds in the double rooms. Not bad unless two people need to share a bed. Noisy AC, but it worked.

The staff went out of their way to get us into our room before the standard checkin time. We really appreciated this since our flight the afternoon before was cancelled and the new flight delayed so we didn’t get into Charlotte until the morning. We waited at the airport until the rental company opened and drove to Blacksburg after being up for over 24 hours. We felt taken care of and can’t thank the lady at the front desk enough (I wish I had thought to get her name).

Everything was great.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We brought our dog, a female pitty, and they all loved her. We had a double room. It had a microwave in the TV stand with 2 small drawers and that's it...no dresser to put clothes in for a stay of more than a day or two which would have been nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was nice. Location was convent, not far off highway and only a few mins down the road from Virginia Tech.

I usually stay a bit closer to VT but I wasn’t able to this time so chose the Comfort Inn. It was actually a hop skip and a jump from Main Street near VT and was right across from the big hospital, and close to all the great restaurants! Amazing location! The staff were very courteous and helpful, and the hotel room was very spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows for a change! The mini fridge worked and had lots of space for drinks and leftovers and even kept ice cream frozen! The microwave also worked great. There is a breakfast table and chairs in the room as well which made eating their good breakfast so much easier! The only comment I have is they should include fruit on their breakfast bar 😊. Otherwise, this place was great and I will definitely stay here again!

Would like fruit on the breakfast bar. Otherwise not a thing!
