Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Alvin Houston

The location was great with plenty of restaurants nearby. Decent price for what you get. Staff was very friendly and helpful, gave lots of suggestions on where to get the best foods around there. They gave us the room right next to the pool since they saw I had children with me. Lobby was cute and clean, pool was outside and really nice. Breakfast wasn't much but they had a waffle maker which my kids enjoyed. Room was perfect size and decently clean. Was nice to be able to park directly outside the room without having to walk down hallways. Bathroom was small but had amazing water pressure.

Housekeeping did not seem to notice the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and continued to enter the room while we were gone and clean it up. I found it uncomfortable since I had left my purse there and they folded our pajamas. The room and the beds seemed to always be damp, but I think that could also be due to the hot humid Houston weather.

The renovations

My friend accidentally bagged up 2 hand towels with our clothes and I received a call from this establishment. I was told if I didn't return the 2 hand towels I would be charged $30 and he will be as patient as 8:00pm that day to charge me. Just thought that was rude as hell since I had to meet this woman(who I don't always get to see and is terrible at answering) in Santa Fe.

the front desk person (Jerry) made several inappropriate comments to me. asked why I was staying and told him my husband has been down here for a month and my daughter and I came to see him and then he proceeded to comment on saying something about us “getting it on like honeymoon night” the beds were damp and the floors were sticky.

The breakfast was basic, it was really nothing fancy about it coffee package, cinnamon rolls, and waffles. We went down the street to the restaurant for breakfast, but breakfast was not the major, deciding factor of our staying or visit.

Can’t really say there was anything else we needed that wasn’t there very well appointed.

The hotel is great! The person at the front desk was very welcoming. He recommended nice places to eat that were close to the hotel. The room was great and the bed was really comfortable. Will totally stay here again!

Breakfast could be better. There was a huge line for the waffle maker since that was the best breakfast option there was.

The room was very beautiful and so spacious! It had a kitchenette that was very nice and convenient! Very good service from all the staff crew ! Thank you 😊 we will be back!

The desk clerk was wonderful. He went over and beyond, extremely friendly and answered all of our questions. Just a really nice experience.

The property was nice, well maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable bed and everything we needed was there.

Ice machines only located on bottom floor. Restroom area is tiny-toilet and shower literally on top of each other. One of the appliances hummed very loudly non-stop.

The staff was very friendly and explained everything to me. The room was perfect for my situation. We really enjoyed our stay and most likely will return.

I have stayed here for the past 5 years when I come to see my kids...the gentleman who is always at the desk is one of the nicest hosts I hae found in hotels around this state. He is to be commended for the job he does. He is awesome....

Maybe a couple more towels in the room....
