Marriott Providence Downtown

it was a regular degular hotel place. nothing special but nice

the cleaning staff were so loud outside my room. slamming things and woke me up. continued for longer than seemed reasonable. the bartender was rude to me as well when I attempted to order something. really put a damper on my stay

The property is very nice. Chic and modern. Very nice place to spend the night or few nights. Very clean and comfortable.

We had a small speaker in our room with music on not extremely loud to be specific. Next thing you know we hear a loud banging on the door it was supposedly security. Thats not the worst thing...but his demeanor was horrendous. Telling us that we would be escorted from the property if it was not turned off with an extremely rude attitude and approach. When he could have easily knocked the door and courteously asked for the music to be turned down. And not bang on the door as if he was the police or something. Totally uncalled for.

Great resort-like updated hotel near downtown. Deluxe and a good value. Well designed modern interiors. Good for dogs. Free parking. Exceeded expectations.

I read a couple reviews that said some rooms could be noisy, so I requested a room not facing toward the highway and had no problem with noise.

Found a bandaid in the comforter I was misled by the name to the location of walking distance destinations such as shops and restaurants. Pretty much everything needed to be driven to, "downtown" was misleading. These were my only disappointments

The pool was lovely and so so warm! The restaurant is good and the staff overall was very nice and accommodating. Overall a really great day at the pool + overnight stay.

The room was a bit out of date, with a tattered shower curtain. The bathrooms near the pool could also use a refresh. Its a great hotel overall just a few cut corners that could add to the experience.

The room was extremely spacious. Pool was kind of awesome, towels included. Meals (mostly breakfast and dinner) were extremely good: the restaurant staff (John in particular) was just great, specials were excellent but in general the chef is clearly a top-notch one. Kindness and friendliness (especially towards our 5yo son) were extremely appreciated and never felt artificial. We will be back.

Pretty much nothing. If I really have to say something, the only minor inconvenience was related to COVID (we were not told upon arrival that we would have to ask for the room to be cleaned up in the morning). We clarified this in the evening of the first day, and from there nothing else happened.

Our check in experience was quick and easy. The hotel is very updated and was close to where we needed to be in Providence. Our room was clean and comfortable. Parking is included in your stay here (It's my understanding that is not the case with other hotels in Providence). The pool area is nice and we enjoyed the hot tub one night. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was quite good.

Our only complaint was housekeeping. I know many hotels have signage in the rooms saying housekeeping will only come in if you put your sign out, to hang up your towels etc. There was none. And we left our sign out hoping for at least some clean towels and our stash of coffee/creamer replenished and housekeeping never came. I requested some extra towels and they were never delivered.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. The pool area was awesome! The kids loved it! Decent complimentary coffee in the lobby. Loved the shuttle service too.

The beds & pillows were super soft. If you like this type of bed, then you’re golden. The water pressure wasn’t the greatest but tolerable.

Necole at the front desk was wonderful,friendly, and helpful.

If you are going to charge high prices and not inform people there is maid service unless you're staying for 3 nights....and that we have to ask for replenishment of toiletries/coffee etc....the very least you can do is let guests have a cup of coffee that we were told is ONLY for Medallion members... according to Brandon at the front desk...that seemed quite unhospitable to have to pay 3 dollars for my morning coffee. B

Room was very nice and comfortable and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and attentive and available. The whole facility was very clean and the pool/hot tub were also well maintained. All in all, positive.

As is true with many motels, breakfast offerings - and especially coffee - were subpar. Charing $17 for a Grab and Go breakfast reads as a rip-off to me. The coffee that we could have - for free - in the room next to the reservations desk was not very good. I don't know your margins, but even charging $2 for a much better cup of coffee would be a serious upgrade. Perhaps most guests are fine with store-brand coffee (Folger's, Eight O'Clock, etc.). It doesn't work for me. Also, a range of nice baked goods for breakfast for sale would be good, perhaps a partnership with a local baker or two. This was the one thing that was a problem - the one thing. (I would prefer not to travel with my own coffee maker and beans . . .)
