The Carriage House at Strasburg

I picked out The Carriage House for my adult daughter and me to stay this weekend from the pictures I saw and high ratings I read about. TRUE!!! Beautiful property! CLEAN!! Beds were VERY comfortable!!! Cute cafe across the street to grab breakfast!! ( fresh berries and granola-topped yogurt was amazing—- included with room stay)!!!Great feature for check-in—-liked the code to access room—-no plastic “key” needed!!!

There was NOTHING during my stay, that I didn’t like! Everything was perfect!!

I like the space available in the Pierre.

The building is historic and this is one of the things I enjoyed about the building. I would’ve loved more information on the building itself, but compiling that is likely quite a task. Given that the building is a older the walls were a bit thinner and the occupants next to us were noisier than what I would’ve liked. However, this is not a large detractor from the facility itself it’s something the white noise machine they provide also helped mitigate. They’ve genuinely thought of most things. They had excellent kitchen amenities and Id definitely stay again.

Very comfortable beds in Room 174. Quiet and convenient to area attractions. Good breakfast options from restaurant across the street (included in room fee). Staff was very friendly. Free cold bottled water available in vending area was a nice bonus in the summer.

We were in the room closest to the road on our first night. Woke up to the sound of traffic at 5:30. Staff was very accommodating, and moved us to a great, quiet room for the rest of our stay

Everything went well. The room was very clean and neat. The breakfast coupon was great - covered our meal at the wonderful (Amish) cafe directly across the street. It was wonderfully quiet during the night. No sounds or noise from any other rooms. Felt very safe.

While the bed was clean and comfortable, it was a bit too soft for us. We are 83 and 84 years old and both of us woke up with a slight back ache. The "4 inch thick memory foam pillow top mattress" makes it very difficult for "old" people to turn over in the bed. I'm not saying we didn't like it but just expressing our personal experience. It wasn't that bad because we have already told the manager we would like the same room every time we come up to the area (once or twice a year).

Very clean, comfortable, perfect location close to all the Amish things to do/see/visit. Even with two young kids in each of our rooms jumping around and awake really late, we couldn’t hear a thing between rooms! Took my parents, my husband and our four children and I honestly wasn’t expecting a whole lot. My parents arrived an hour before us and the staff was kind enough to give them one of the room keys even though I hadn’t arrived yet (reservation qas under my name). The people are so sweet, kind and helpful! Not a lot of rooms which we liked because it kept the environment much more enjoyable. A HUGE bonus was the included breakfast. We didn’t expect much, especially for a hotel included breakfast, but they work with the restaurant directly across the street and you basically get a credit for every person to eat breakfast/food from the cafe. The food was outstanding and we always had left overs (which nobody complained about. Haha) the options for food were beyond expectations and it tasted incredible. We WILL stay here again for sure!

The only one single thing that we asked the staff about was that our tub didn’t drain at a normal speed. But we asked them about it, and it was fixed that day! It wasn’t a deal breaker at all, but we were very happy that they took action to get it sorted out so quickly!

it was in a quiet location and didn’t have the usual random noises you sometimes hear in hotels. The room was very cozy and had your essentials with no other distractions making this a perfect spot for couples that want some quality time together. There’s a fantastic coffeehouse and eatery across the street and the location of the hotel is perfect in the sense that it’s far from all the traffic and hectic scene usually found in Lincoln highway East but close enough to get to where you want for the popular destinations.

The room was immaculate and bright, with great lighting. Nice modern farmhouse decor including a few plants. Air conditioner and TV (many cable channels) worked well. We really appreciated the mini refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom was very clean and shower worked well (great water pressure and plenty of hot water). The outside premises are brightly lit and well maintained. Very WIDE parking spaces right in front of each room. we liked sitting on the bench out front. We met other nice people who were staying there, some come back on a regular basis. We appreciated the voucher for the "The Speckled Hen" cafe across the street. We ate breakfast both mornings we were there. They serve great food! We cannot say enough about the staff. They are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It is convenient to many unique stores and restaraunts. It was a pleasure walking down Main Street in Strasburg, seeing all the historical houses. This was our first stay here, but we definitely look forward to coming back again!

It was all wonderful!

Everything very nice. We stayed in a King Suite which was very quiet (far from the road and next to the office). Very nicely updated. Included breakfast voucher for the Speckled Hen right across the street was great. Very nice location and excellent management that really looks after every little detail! We travel to the area once or twice a year and have stayed at various lodgings but this will be our "go to" from now on.

Cannot think of a single negative thing.

The employee/manger who greeted us was very pleasant and could not do enough to give us all the information we needed for our stay. We were going to the Sight and Sound Theater and the location of the Carriage House could not have been any better. We receive a voucher for breakfast across the road and it was excellent, especially the coffee! I would definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely renovated older strip motel. It is beautifully decorated and totally updated. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is at a wonderful cafe right across the street. We had our choice of several hot options. The food was very good and the coffee was great. I can highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.
