Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh Airport

The location was convenient for going to the airport first thing in the morning. That was my original inspiration for staying here (although the drive is closer to 15 minutes despite its close location). The room was nice and had nice furniture. We also had a little patio outside our room too. The lobby was nice and modern. Breakfast can be pre-ordered and customized as needed. There is also a little market with snack and drinks (including alcohol) for purchase in the lobby. I had an exceptionally good customer service interaction here. When we were leaving to go to the airport we went to get some food first in the lobby and when we went back to get our luggage our door key did not work. We got a new key and that still did not work. So the desk clerk (Hannah I believe) tried her master key with no luck either. So she troubleshooted with an electronic device and that did not work. So she ended up calling tech support, another hotel, and her hotel manager (pretty much simultaneously) and went through every scenario possible. Unfortunately, at this point, we had missed our shuttle. So the hotel gave us a free breakfast to tide us over in the meantime. The hotel manager arrived and was able to successfully open our door after 10 minutes or so. He (the manager) even drove us to the airport himself. So what could have been a disaster ended up being a great example to going the extra mile (quite literally) with customer service. I have no qualms recommending this hotel -- especially if you have an early flight.

The contractor that runs the shuttle bus for this hotel prioritizes their own parking customers over hotel customers, so you may have to wait a little longer at the airport than usual. The dinner service was not happening at this time. Hopefully as the economy stabilizes this will change. It looked like a nice place to sit and have a beer while watching sports and mingling.

The staff members were so friendly, helpful & engaging. Our AM shuttle driver was so nice & engaging. She was very helpful. The shuttle driver that picked us up at 2am was also very nice and helpful. The shuttle service was one of the primary reasons I chose this hotel, but the customer service and friendliness of the staff went above and beyond.

Lack of toiletries (toothbrush, disposable slippers) No water hose beside toilet (But maybe is due to slight difference between US culture and Asian culture.)

I liked that there was multiple entrances, so we didn’t have to use the main entrance every time and walk throughout the hotel every time we came back.

sometimes being that close to the airport (which I know is the point of the location of the hotel) you can REALLY hear the airplanes constantly. it’s very similar to staying next to a train station.

The staff was very nice and the room was clean.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable. We were up early (5am) to get to the airport and had no coffee available. There was one pack of regular coffee in the room 😞.

The breakfast was amazing, everything was cooked well, came hot and faster than expected. Would come again for the breakfast!

The outside area was not inviting. Parking lot was dark, lights were out, confusing parking lot. Also the window in our room was broken, frost between the two windows.

No breakfast. The room had a strong odor and I could not sleep. My wife and daughter said they would deal with it. The exhaust fan did not work so I slept in the lobby area. When the host found out he gave me a room that did not stink from 2 am to 6 am when we left.

Location was very convenient to my business meeting location. Didn’t eat at the hotel.

The air conditioner in the room, 104, was very noisy if it was set below 72.

Friendly staff and not too far from downtown. Close to shopping and restaurants. The room we stayed in was clean and ready before the requested time.

I would like to thank the reception staff for a great service and help during my stay.

The mattress did not feel right but it was a good night
