Wingate by Wyndham Lima

Downtown Lima is reviving itself, and this hotel is a perfectly located gem. Comfortable, near places to eat, easy parking shared with the local convention center, altogether pleasant. Rolling luggage racks get a high vote, with plenty of capacity and places to hang things as you bring them into the hotel.

Bathroom was a little banged up, though very clean.

Late check out is perfect-I work nights and being able to go back and get decent sleep before having to drive hours back home is very helpful!

No full time restaurant/Bistro/Canteen area on-site…….not a lot in Lima so having something on-site would be helpful. Marriott Courtyard has a small canteen area-it’s almost a deal breaker that you don’t have one, but the breakfast puts you over the top!!!

Toilet shut off a couple of times during one evening, night. First went out shortly after we arrived, we were going to switch rooms when it suddenly started again. So we stayed in place. Later in middle of the night it wouldn’t flush again. Again, it resolved itself during the remainder of night.

Excellent customer service. The night receptionist, Ty, was very friendly and helpful. He helped us switch to a different rooms that worked better for our family after we found out the room we originally booked through a 3rd party had been incorrectly advertised and only had one bed. The biscuits and gravy and waffles were really good!

The desk staff was a little on the “don’t bother me” side of hospitality. The breakfast was decent. The nicest staff person was the maintenance man.

There was a used Q-tip on the bathroom floor behind the wastebasket, indicating that the staff either didn’t look behind the wastebasket or didn’t notice that it fell out when emptying the basket. Either way, it meds me wonder what else didn’t receive much attention when cleaning the room.

I liked the vibe of the hotel. There was some type of party going on when we arrived.

I was a little disappointed with the breakfast. There was not eggs or bacon out when we arrived. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be refilled.

The breakfast was good. The location was a little bit too far into the city for my liking. If it was closer to the freeway or a main road it would have gotten a 100 percent from me.

Honestly, the location was just a little to far from a freeway for my liking. But it wasn't bad.

I have family in Lima and always choose this hotel to stay in during my visits. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and quiet. The hotel is centrally located downtown so I can get to each side of the city easily. This trip I did not, but I often have walked to the nearby Kewpee and The Meeting Place during the day. I have not walked at night. Free breakfast is a plus as I always go down to get the fresh coffee and a muffin. This hotel is run right, and it shows. I am a repeat customer.

I wish the parking lot was secure. I often return back to hotel after dark and as a lone female traveler, I look for parking in the front of hotel but the few spaces are always filled. I’m leery parking in the back lot and then walking to the side entrance. Even a fence perhaps or brighter lights in the lot. I definitely hustle going from my car to the hotel . Having out of State plates, I worry about my car getting broken into. I make sure nothing is left in my car.

everything about the hotel was an A+. staff was excellent, room was super clean, breakfast was amazing, had no issues asking to extend night either.

The staff was very friendly. Beds were clean and comfortable. Close to everything.

Everything was great. Disappointed they didn't make the bed and leave clean towels. Had to ask. I really feel a dog friendly hotel shouldn't charge extra for small, quiet dogs.
