Baymont by Wyndham Wilmington

Room was well organized and very clean. Free wifi was seamless except for one minor glitch that was fixed within minutes. Cleaning staff was excellent. Location is very convenient to all locations. Good restaurants are a short drive or within walking distance.

A little surprised about a $100 deposit upon check in. It was refunded with no issue, but not expected. Only complaint, and it's a minor one... I didn't partake in the breakfast availability, but did want regular coffee in the room. When I checked in, there were three packs of coffee. That's a morning for me, and it wasn't replenished during my stay. I asked registration one evening for more and the kind woman had no clue how to get more for the room. On a grand scale, not a major issue, but it would have made the stay much better and convenient.

I liked the location of Baymont because it was close to the event I was attending as well as other places such as restaurants and shopping centers. Our check-in was fast and smooth, our room was clean, and the staff we encountered were pleasant, and the outside area was decent and clean.

This has nothing to do with the hotel personally, I just didn't like that whoever was next door to us blasted their TV ALL night, and it could still be heard the next morning.

Air conditioning, was the best, the room overall was good...

The refrigerator door was sticky, housekeeping attempted to clean it, as well as two little rust spots in the tub. The shower curtain was cloth, no plastic lining, water got on floor. The bed was comfortable, but weird, as if it were an air mattress. Oops all most forgot, there was one chair, it was a recliner, wasn't comfortable, one table to eat on with no chair. One trash can, one night table

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was clean and quiet. There was a booking/check-out mix up which led to me having to be re-book my last few nights, but the front desk was quick and efficient in investigating and fixing the mix up. Close to things like the Wal-mart , gas station, Best buy, Lowe's grocery, and more. It's about 2.5 miles from the Riverwalk (it's a Straight shot down Market), so I really liked the convenience.

The immediate area surrounding the hotel feels a bit seedy, but I wouldn't say it's something to cry about.

Room was pretty decent. Fresh clean linen sheets on the bed. Loved the quietness of the area. I have stayed here a number of times before and seems like I always return when I'm in the Wilmington area

Floors were swept clean, but don't think they had seen a mop in months. Floors were actually sticky from not being mopped. Biggest drawback for me.

the location was nice.

at first the gentleman I spoke with was very disrespectful & I thought I would be leaving & never coming back. However, when I went downstairs to address the way I had been spoken to. I was credited for my nights stay. since our TV didn’t work in the first room, then they moved us to a room that you couldn’t flush the toilet or it would over flow all over the floor. However all the other staff were very helpful & kind.

Breakfast was weak. We only had it 1 of the 7 days that we spent there. Cereal boxes, yogurt and oatmeal packets were available. Location was great and, to be perfectly honest, didn’t really care about the breakfast. Rooms were nice but could have been cleaned better Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Location was pretty good, very close to where we needed to be as well as in very close proximity to places to shop and eat.

Poor cleaning on room prep. Feet were always dirty after walking on the floors, getting out of shower. Can do better with continental breakfast. Price was ok but could have been better in regards to above comments as well as time of year.

Front desk was wonderful I wanted to give a big SHOUTOUT to Kiara and nikia they was great. I felt like Baymont was my second home. Definitely would be coming back.

They only concern I had was that our room lamps was not working and we did let the front desk know. But the maintenance man never came that was my only concern.

The beds were comfortable, linens were clean and cozy. The hotel/location was quiet at night so we got great sleep. All the items that were promised were in the room, and the wifi worked really well. Be sure to look at the information binder because the digital television channels may be a little different than what you use at home. Great location, easy to get downtown, to Wrightsville, even Carolina Beach! Refrigerator was a really nice size and kept our drinks quite cold.

We were two in the room, but there was only one towel at check in. Got the second towel on Day 2, but we had beach towels to hold us over.

The staff is completely amazing EACH AND EVERY EMPLOYEE there, even down to the house keeping staff. They have Dove soap. (Which is the best and absolutely saved me money NOT having to purchase my own personal soap per the usual.)

I feel like the breakfast options could be slightly better. However that's definitely far from a deal breaker.
