This is the best hotel ever. Perfect, clean, spacious, comfortable, and inviting rooms with a large bathroom (excellent water temp and pressure in shower & bathtub), full kitchen (with full fridge/freezer, microwave, stove, coffee maker, cups/plates/bowls/cooking utensils & cookware), big screen smart tv, large dresser/cabinet with beach towels, excellent indoor and natural light, great A/C unit, a dedicated workspace and fast Wi-Fi, a private balcony with a table and chairs, and personal touches “The Dream Team” provides to make you feel warmly welcomed. Awesome, excellently-maintained pool and outdoor shower to wash off sand after enjoying their quiet, private beach with incredible views you can enjoy by relaxing on provided lounge chairs and a wooden swing. Outdoor patio with tables, chairs, and umbrellas to enjoy outdoor grilling and time with friends and family. Free parking with first-come-first-serve options if you want covered parking that is close to the steps and elevators. A great place for solo travelers, couples, and families. Also, this is *the* place to stay if you want to easily access (I did so on foot for the 4th of July parade and fireworks without dealing with traffic) downtown Southport and the waterfront parks and restaurants. Thank you for some of the best days of my life! So happy and grateful I chose this magnificent hotel! The rooms were clean, all the staff were friendly and it was fun looking for shells on their small (approximatley 50 yards wide?) river front beach and watching the ships go by. They have a nice pool and patio area.

It would be nice to have drinks and snacks in the office to purchase or a drink/snack machine located on the premise. The shops aren't far, so as long as you know this ahead of time, you can purchase these things elsewhere and bring them back to the room.

Great location and views. Very quiet area. Clean room with nice appointments. Shower very nice as it wasn’t a tub shower. Granite countertops was a plus. Hot water tank in the room so you get immediate hot water for the shower. Full size refrigerator was nice.

AC was very noisy and had to turn off at night. Minor nuisance. Construction noise early but not unexpected with new building going up. Parking pavement needs attention but new building takes priority I’m sure. Cooking pots and pans very old and dirty. Bring your own if you are going to cook. Need cable channel list in the room. Couldn’t figure out the channels or even to view what channels were available. Window blind could not be lowered. Not sure why and made our privacy exposed at night.

Fantastic location with spectacular view of the Cape Fear River. Quite location, nice small beach on river, nice size pool, lots of parking even directly under the units. And an elevator talk about convenience. Staff is exceptional polite. Being the Owner of a Travel Agency I would rate them right up with any 4 or 5 star property. They don't have Breakfast but full kitchen to fix your own or plenty of restaurants within 2 - 3 miles.

Bathtub is a little slippery. There are anti-slip spots on the bottom of the tub, but I still didn't feel totally safe. If you're older and feel a little uncomfortable and afraid, you might slip. I would recommend purchasing a suction type hand rail and take with you. I carry one everywhere I travel just in case. That was my only issue and does not affect everyone.

How close was to the beach.

Who ever is in charge of reservations did not make me feel welcomed, she maid me feel like the place was awful and like I had made a mistake booking. I had to call again cause it was bugging me. The sencond person who answered and was who ended giving me my key, she asured me they were exited to have us, and hoed we enjoyed our stay. I was never told till i could not cancel, that it was under construction. That i did not appreciate.

It was our son's first beach trip. The small river beach they had behind the hotel he loved and he loved the pool which was very kid friendly. Room was very clean and had an elevator so we could get our stuff up to and down from room. Close to downtown Southport

There wasn't necessarily anything I didnt like. The only complaint I possibly do have was that we paid a pretty penny to stay and that they had a tip envelope for the maid. I don't know... I feel like in a regular hotel you don't have that. And all we really wanted was just extra towels didn't care about them making the bed or anything just take the old ones away and bring us new ones

We arrived just a bit early and they were so nice to let us check in early. The room was so clean. It even smelled clean. Everything that we needed to make this trip nice was there. The cleaning staff were so friendly. This is going to be our place to stay everytime we are in Southport from now on. It was so close to every thing that we needed.

I really can't think of anything that would be something that we didn't like. Maybe they could trim the shrubs just a bit outside our balcony just to improve the view. Of course, the view as very nice. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the boats on the river.

The entire facility and staff were fantastic. Comfy bed and pillows. Room had a kitchenette with a full size fridge. Room has a small Keurig, plates, bowls etc. Location was very quiet and relaxing. Facility was in great condition, updated and CLEAN! Location was within walking distance to restaurants and city common elements. We will definitely book again

The room was spacious, beautiful, and very clean. The staff was very welcoming and extremely prompt with requests. Room had an efficiency kitchen complete with microwave, dishwasher, and a full size refrigerator/freezer. We would definitely return and We recommend this hotel highly.

Private beach but with an alligator warning sign. It wasn’t important to us since we weren’t going to utilize the area anyway!

Very quiet and an easy location to the center of Southport. The units are new with a kitchen and a small table to sit and eat. very comfortable bed and couch for relaxing. The balcony offers great views of the river and the Oak Island light house. The kitchen is convent to grab a bite to eat when you don’t want to eat out.

The only thing that I would have liked to have is room darkening curtains. We like a dark sleeping room and it was a little too light
