Fairfield Inn & Suites Rocky Mount

I stayed here on short notice when I learned Nash Comm College was hosting a fire training class I needed. I booked online after searching the web for reviews of several hotels. This one had fantastic reviews and my experience lived up to the hype. The staff were very nice, helpful, and attentive. The facility was very clean. The breakfast was nice with the usual roundup of hotel offerings though if you are being health-conscious, you will find limited options. The friendly staff and facility cleanliness more than make up for it. This will be the first hotel I check for availability if I'm ever training in Rocky Mount again.

Please tell the staff who worked during my stay that I was very pleased and thankful for them. They deserve a compassionate gesture of appreciation. There was no way for me to do this at the facility.

Check in was easy. We arrived at 11pm and Vanessa was genuinely happy to get us checked in. The room was immaculate! The pillows! Heaven! The bed! Super comfortable! The bathroom was roomy and I loved the extra towel hooks. The breakfast selections were great. And the dining area was spotless. Shaquita and Kevin really did a great job. Angela was at the desk as we checked out. I dropped off the room key and she said she hoped we had a great stay and was really friendly. Please let the staff know how awesome they were. We were there less than 24 hours and in that short amount of time, it was a great experience.

Just a suggestion. Put in a magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom. You'd make a lot of women happy.

Huge room, overall a great place to stay and I would return. Great location. Diverse breakfast food.

We did notice drink stains on nightstand that we easily cleaned up. Hair was in shower and on bathroom floor. Need brighter lighting and bulb was out in room. We did not like having to go downstairs for extra linens/blankets that should have been in the room or staff available to bring to room.

It was pretty good. Would have loved a fresh waffle but with whats going on, I understand. Everything was delicious. The room was so comfy. Just a thought, not everyone drinks coffee. Maybe include tea or in a section somewhere ask if the person doing the booking is a coffee drinker or if they prefer tea. (For the kuerigs in the rooms) Also, some plain black tea or English/Irish Breakfast tea would be a nice selection down in the breakfast area.

Everything was actually clean. The beds were comfy too.

That the breakfast cuts off at 9am. After driving for 12 hours to get there, we were exhausted and ended up sleeping a little past 9 so we missed breakfast. Most hotels that we’ve stayed in, and it’s been a lot, the breakfast cuts off at 10am.

As with my previous stay, the room was very clean and comfortable, nicely designed, and equipped with modern amenities.

There was another guest who played loud music. When I reported this to the front desk, it seemed like nothing was done, as the music continued for far too long. I was a bit disappointed. It's unfortunate that inconsiderate guests can ruin a good experience sometimes.

Loved the room size and set-up with the 2 tv's. Bed was comfortable. Location was in center of everything. Staff was friendly.

Streaming services that were offered in cost of room was down all weekend. Ice machine on our floor was out of service and the lock was kind of tricky. (Reported to front desk to check for needed repair).

Flexibility of the staff and their responsiveness. We needed a late checkout and staff accommodated our needs. I would absolutely stay here again.

There was not really anything I didn't like. I guess there could have been more hot choices for breakfast, but it was free so I really cant complain.

Need some improvement in the meal. The oatmeal was not prepared properly look liked running milk. Need to add more of a breakfast selection.

The sink in the bathroom did not have running hot water.

It's a beautiful property and well located near I-64 and I-95. Seems rather new. It made enough of a positive impression that we will look to Fairfield for future stays.

Although there is a sign saying that all guests must wear masks -- I applaud Fairfield for encouraging precautions, the desk clerk was unmasked.
