Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke Rapids / Carolina Crossroads

we got to our room it was very clean. Went down to the restaurant for a bite to eat and some cold adult beverages which was a bonus. we got back to our room and noticed the heat was not working so I got on the elevator and ran into the Maintenace man and told him about our problem he went right to our room to check it out. the fan on the unit was bad he contacted the front desk and they contacted an someone from home to replace it. He was at our room and the two of them repaired it quickly. the hotel was book up so they did not have any other rooms available I though it was great customer service. the hotel was very quite and comfortable I will book this hotel again.

We had two rooms for one nights stay (traveling through) and we really enjoyed our stay. It's super convenient, right off 95 and is quiet and very clean. In the morning I heard the head of maintenance giving a motivational talk to employees about why they should care about what they do and why. It was refreshing to see people who care about what they do, it truly shows. That is a reason the clean well maintained property is so well cared for. We had no issues with anything from checking in to checking out.

The parking lot was pretty dark at night, there are lights in the main lot but others are very dark. The heater units in the room are noisy. It wasn't so much a problem for us as we usually need some background noise (fans) and that helped a bit, but others may want to turn off the heat or AC when they sleep.

The best thing we liked were the people. The asst. general manager, Marquita, was absolutely wonderful, and really made it for us. There were certain things I was disappointed in, but once I was with her just a few minutes I felt better about everything. She is a true professional, and deserves kudos from all!

There’s no reason to complain in that Marquita told us you will be renovating and upgrading this year. With such a nice group of people, that location deserves to be upgraded. The hotel itself did not compliment the professionalism of the staff.

This is quite a nice place to stay. It has an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. We didn't have dinner here, but breakfast was excellent. It's close to Interstate 95 ... You can even see it from the highway.

We stayed here once before some years ago, and that time I requested a room on one of the upper floors so it would be quiet. I neglected to do that this time, so we were put on the first floor near where the banquet room is with a lot of employee foot traffic, vacuums running, etc. This isn't really a complaint, but just a note to be wary and ask for a room on an upper floor if you want a quiet stay.

Wifi ran slow. Carpet in room needs to be replaced, torn, smells. Staff needs to pay attention the guest, when a guest walk in with a limp and a brace on their leg the last thing they need to do is put said person in a room at the end of the hallway. I had to speak with the staff about this matter and it is not the first time. I am partially handicapped and need rooms closer to the elevator as I cannot walk distances. Also, the facility needs more handicap parking.

our trip is a family medical emergency, and we have pets. We were all incredibly comfortable at this hotel, it was really quite dirty, but very welcoming. We will be staying at this hotel. Every time we travel back-and-forth from Maine to Florida. It was wonderful to feel welcomed and at home with our animals instead of somebody’s problem. Thank you thank you thank you

we liked the covered carport for unloading in the rain. Very nice lobby. We appreciated that there was a fridge in the room. Loved the Neutrogena shampoo and conditioner. I will actually switch to that brand as a result. Extremely comfortable bed and pillow. Slept really well.

Didn’t like that the room we were given was ‘accessible’. The bathroom door opened the wrong way, making it awkward to open the door to the room. No bar of soap for the shower.

They seemed to be out of everything right down to the napkins. The food was edible but not anything to talk about. Staff was very polite apologetic about the lack of items available.

Both the room coffee and the dining room coffee was horrible. Drove down the highway a bit and found a McDonalds for a decent cup.

Too little parking and/or appropriate parking for vehicle type. Unable to reach property staff by phone and 800 number staffer had language barrier and trouble understanding simple question/request. Also, she was unable to reach desk staff at property and “left them a message”.

The staff was a vibe. They were helpful and kind. Very clean hotel.

This Hilton charges 75 plus tax per night if you use a debit card to book. I didn't see anything online letting you know this info. So, if that's all you have be ready to pay almost double. Yes, you will get it back but of course there's a wait.
