AC Hotel by Marriott Charlotte City Center

Very nice and chic hotel! Check-in no problem! Breakfast was good and the location is great if everything you need is in uptown Charlotte or you simply want to be centrally located.

I initially booked my hotel room for one night. On my first night, the next morning when it was time for check-out, I called the front desk to attempt to get a late checkout and was met with an auctioneer. She told me that check out was at 11:00 AM. I let her know that I was aware of that, I was inquiring about a LATE CHECKOUT. She says I don't know maybe 11:30. I said ma'am I've stayed at hotels all across the world and late checkout is generally between, 1-2:00 PM. So she extended the checkout until 12:00 PM. I ended up extending it because I found out last minute that I would need to stay another day but it was a lot of back and forth that I've never had to go through in the past. Very distasteful and unprofessional.

The room was phenomenal-super super clean and beautiful. Everyone was very patient and friendly. We came the weekend of the Gold Cup and the Alicia Keys concert and it was super busy but from start to finish everyone at the hotel-janitors and cleaners included.

I was a little confused about the parking but I figured it out!

The front staff when checking in were very professional. The bartenders in the lounge were unprofessional. They were standing around talking instead of assisting those of us at the bar waiting to give our order.

The bartenders at the lounge. Unprofessional. I was charged for parking although I was informed that because of being a guest that I would not ultimately have that charge. The website states that the rooftop is open until 2am but it closes at 1am. This hotel was chosen primarily because of the 2am closing of the rooftop.

convenient location to surrounding restaurants and bars. all of the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. the rooms were very nice and spacious with views of the city.

We haven’t traveled to Charlotte Epicentre in quite awhile and didn’t know a lot of the bars and restaurants were shut down in that area. It would have been nice if it wasn’t so run down, otherwise you can find other great restaurants nearby and not too far of a walk.

This hotel provides perfect access to the Charlotte Spectrum Arena - right across the street. The hotel is quiet, has on site parking and is within walking distance of numerous shops, cafes and restaurants. Kim at front desk really makes a point to take care of hotel guests. stayed at this hotel to be near an event at Spectrum Arena and was impressed by all of the security around and near the hotel. Room fairly spacious, large bathroom, very clean, coffee maker and mini fridge. Microwaves available at a hydration station on each floor with bagged ice.

Just know you do have to pay around $28 for parking which is located in the basement below hotel. I wish there was coffee/tea service in lobby. There is a charge for breakfast.

Friendly staff, very clean and well designed, great location

There was a very strong smell of weed on our floor in the hallway upon our return to the hotel at around 9:30. Nothing that staff could have anticipated. We elected not to call the front desk, but it really isn’t our thing and I’d rather not have that smell premiering the entire side of the hallway.

Property was nice, rooms were nice, location was great, comfortable, clean, enjoyed our stay

Didn’t like that we had to park in the center of the Earth, requiring passage through Two different ticket gates, then find the elevator to the lobby to check in. Just seemed complicated. Had to go to a different floor via elevator for what seemed to be a back alley hallway to exit to street. Also kinda complicated.

It was amazing. Clean, quiet, relaxing, everything you need in a hotel. Plus the staff was amazing especially Duane at the front desk. He was so helpful and kept a smile on my face.

The only thing I didn’t like is the room only came with two small water bottles and I couldn’t find a soda machine or anything like that for snacks and drinks.

Hospitality staff were all amazing. Location was also amazing. Located right across the street from the spectrum center which was great because we bought tickets to the hornets game. Front desk staff recommended loads of stuff to do in area. Shops and restaurants in walking distance!

Noise on our floor; however, it was during a weekend and people were drunk from the hornets game so there was nothing they could do or anything I even cared to report! Also had to pay for parking which I wasn’t aware of until after I booked the hotel.

The room was lovely and the view was magnificent. The beds were very comfortable, and the proximity to the Spectrum Center was very convenient.

Without exaggeration, we wasted at least 2 hours of our short stay waiting on elevators. Using the stairs was an alternate, however some floors were accessible only by stairs, others only by elevator. Maps and or directional signage would have certainly been helpful. Also, at $400 per night, breakfast should have been included, $16.00 per person, for a buffet of cold, over cooked scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes was a bit much.
