Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh Cary I-40

The breakfast was great! Lots of options for all diets.

I was disappointed to see that comparable hotels in the area were going for $50-$75 less than what I paid. Had I known this, I would have switched to a different hotel. Also, the website says it’s an easy 2 minute walk to the plaza. However, it is farther than that and a bit treacherous without sidewalks.

Upon arrival, Christine at the front desk was helpful and cheerful. She informed us that we had been upgraded for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The staff spoiled us with a surprise in our room. The room was very clean and decor was modern and fairly new. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. Our breakfast was very good and checkout was super quick. We look forward to staying here again on our trips to visit family in the area. Homewood Suites by Hilton should be very proud of the staff at this location.

The parking lot being paved while we were there was the biggest complaint and I understand that is an unusual circumstance. It did pose an issue with parking however and the recommended parting across the street was dangerous, to cross 4 lanes where people flew. It was difficult enough pulling in and out sometimes as cars fly down the road in front of the hotel.

This hotel was in a great location near shops and restaurants. We were staying for a concert and it was just a short 10-15 min drive to the arena.

Our room smelled like fish when we arrived. The fan was also on, which I would assume housekeeping cut on to try and get rid of the smell. Since there is a kitchenette in the room, I figured someone had cooked in there and that’s why it smelled.

The room has a good size, meant for a small family (2 person bed of course), with small kitchen, fridge and freezer, bathroom and toilet around the corner are really nice. A small couch to sit on, as well, with a TV and the internet is usable, which is good. Pool area is usable, when the hotel is full I guess there would be space issues.

The TV is not placed to watch well either from the bed or the couch, one small downside, then during corona, the small breakfast (better than nothing, but small). The pool area is nice, but towards a road, which means during the week rest is hard to get, sadly.

The hotel was in a great location. The check-in process was fast & smooth. The hotel is very clean. Our suite was so clean, with a comfortable king size bed. The quietest at the hotel during the night was everything. My family & I had a great stay. We’re definitely staying here anytime we’re in the area.

Very good, like last time, was the stay overall, the staff is nice, friendly, the room is huge (with little furniture), the bed comfortable, with good AC. The breakfast has improved, as Corona becomes easier, the pool is a nice chance to relax and spend some time outside. Parking near the hotel is good, and has enough space.

The price was a bit high, especially for the location and the time of Sept, breakfast has improved yes, but still very simple.

Hotel was modern, very clean, and easily accessible with ample parking available. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and the staff were very pleasant. The breakfast was adequate, given COVID restrictions. Everything was conveniently pre-packaged and set up 'grab and go' style.

The room was very nice - well appointed and clean - but had a very strong disinfectant odor. It almost smelled like stale cigar smoke combined with an aerosol ozone air freshener spray. Upon arriving home, I had to let my luggage air outside and had to wash all of my clothes twice to get rid of the odor.

Good location. Friendly staff. Manager Noah very accommodating and kind. Beds comfortable but could have used better comforters as these were very thin. Also very spacious room but no table to sit and eat - only an office chair and desk- which is a bit strange when you have a room with a full Kitchen. Room very clean except for carpets. Also a couple lady bugs in our room and in the stairwell next to us- not a big deal but could have done without. Breakfast included which is always nice and I appreciate everything being pre wrapped due to covid but a few more options would have been nice. It was very small and limited.

The staff was friendly, the location is excellent, and the property was clean.

The property was not stocked adequately with toiletries. We had to call the front desk for more.
