Broadway Plaza Hotel

Great midtown location with good restaurants nearby. Staff all friendly, welcoming and courteous. Beautiful lobby, extremely clean rooms and good communication with hotel throughout the entire booking process. All four rooms booked had a view of the Empire State Building and were on a higher floor as had been requested by myself, I was pleasantly surprised as was only expecting perhaps one or two of the rooms to fulfil my request, so thank you Broadway Plaza Hotel for this. Welcome snack in room for first night and daily bottles of water left in room which was much appreciated. Hotel good value for money. WIFI WAS GOOD ( no issues at all). I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending this hotel to any friends that may be visiting New York.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. You are right in the middle of it. The rooms were clean, and whilst different shapes and sizes (we had 4 rooms over 2 bookings) all functional and comfortable.

Do not be fooled - the hotel has no amenities other than the reception and concierge. This doesn't matter as there are great restaurants and all the services available to New Yorkers at your doorstep. Reception goes to great lengths to point out you are paying $7 a day for coffee and a couple of bags of chips and water because they no doubt have had lots of complaints about the additional charge for what is normally part of the room. Also, there is a big difference between bathrooms in the rooms. Some bathrooms are tiny, and some are unrenovated. Also, the lift to the higher levels is incredibly slow (but the views are great).. So the sweet spot for rooms is around the 6th or 7th floors, and ask for a renovated room. Overall, it is a great place to stay, but you pay for what you get.

absolute amazing location and super friendly staff, they’re super responsible too. they called me to confirm with food delivery and had them drop it at my door. staff always open the door for you and keep the luggage if you have this need.

we did find some leftover food in the fridge from someone else, which was a bit disturbing

The location was great and the double Queen room was enormous for two friends sharing

Only one mirror in the bathroom. Really needs a full length mirror in the room

It was a great location in a central area. There were loads of restaurants and shopping nearby with only a short walk to Washington Square Park and plenty of transit. The staff service was excellent. The room was spacious.

For the size of the room, I would've expected a larger bed. The bathroom was a bit dated and the ceilings were off-putting. Also, we had a lower-level room, floor 3, and the noise was loud on the weekends. Would have been nice to have offered earplugs in the rooms. The blinds let quite a bit of light in from the street so our room was quite bright in the evenings even with them closed.

The location of the hotel was great. Lots of dining choices and subway stations nearby. The room was large and clean. I was a little unhappy about being on the 2nd floor at first but it turned out to be a great place to do some people watching! They gave us snacks on the first day then 2 or 3 bottles of water every day. The shower was fantastic with a rain showerhead and a handheld. Our TV didn't work the first day so they waived the resort fee.

Ice machines are not on every floor. This is weird...the light switch for the bathroom is on the far wall so you have reach over the toilet to turn the light on.

The room was the perfect size, had a mini fridge, plenty of bottled water, and very comfortable bed. I had a view of the Empire State Building from my window on the 9th floor. I asked for a tea kettle and it was brought up within 15 minutes with little set up of tea bags, cups, sugar/sweetener, and creamers. The bathroom was nice and the shower had lots of built in places for shampoo, etc.. The location was great too. Very easy to walk or take the bus to other parts of the city. I was visiting my son and he came to the hotel the first night around 6pm. The person at the desk called me in my room to check that I was expecting someone. As a woman traveling alone I really appreciated that.

Great hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Location is great, within walking distance to many areas and close to several subway stops. Plenty of good bars and restaurants in the surrounding area too. We were in a newly refurbished room which was nice and a really good size. Water and nespresso coffee provided was nice too.

Soundproofing of the rooms could be better, we could hear outside and our neighbours, but hard to avoid some noise in NYC. No breakfast but good options nearby.

Great Location very walkable. Travel with my teenager plenty of places to eat near by which made it perfect for later dinners. Room was great very clean didn't hear any street noise. Would come back to this hotel again . Train is a block away .

Didn't care for the the guys hanging on the corner across the street every night under the dark canopy . Think the hotel and neighborhood business should address this issue . They didn't bother us it just doesn't give a good night vibe.
