Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jamestown, an IHG Hotel

the pool and breakfast she worked really hard by herself

I’m not blaming the front desk staff I’m blaming the manager! Staff new nothing about the biggest attractions in Jamestown NY. Lucille Ball’s birthplace and burial site(she was born in this town and she’s buried across the street in the Jamestown cemetery across from the hotel!)The National Comedy Center and the Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaez Museum are there also. It would be a good idea to send the staff there and talk to some of the people who work there to let the visitors of the hotel know about it too! And the TV didn’t have ABC, CBS or NBC. WE asked for someone to come up to look at the tv and nobody showed up.

The facility and room were nice, clean and very comfortable. Staying with a toddler was easy didn’t hear any noise for outside our room and we all slept well. Only complaint was their pool was being renovated and not usable. But we were able to drive a little ways to use another hotels pool which was ok. But could have been explained better by front desk.

Pool was closed during our stay. Didn’t know till check in as I didn’t see it on the web site.

Welcomed by a friendly person Max who ended up being the desk attendant. the weather was rainy and windy and he helped us as the rain was blowing sideways with our bags to get inside. he made some movie references that made my family smile (one of or family’s best friends passed away to early in life thus are visit) and it reminded them of him. the rooms are clean and fresh smelling, breakfast extensive and the pool and ground well kept.

Our bed was comfortable, and the quantity of bathroom towels was a nice supply; 3 and 4 of all sizes.

The breakfast was disappointing; machine made pancakes were rubbery. I chose a bowl of Cheerios for myself, however, this cereal was a generic off-brand variety and not the real Cheerios brand at all. This amenity wasn't worth the additional charge. We should have gone across the street to the Bob Evans restaurant instead.

The food for breakfast was good, but during our 3 day stay, we did not see much variety. The location of the hotel is very central to all the attractions of Jamestown and the surrounding area. The pool was good to have after a day of activities and sightseeing. Hotel staff was friendly and approachable.

There could be some improvements made with cleanliness throughout the facility (pool area, stairwells). We did have to ask a couple of times for clean towels.

hotel air conditioning is always an issue, but this one was very loud. A small point but the shower items mounted to the wall in the tub were too close to the shower head, kept hitting my shoulder on them. could have been placed farther to the other end of the tub.

Our family enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The variety was good and the staff did a good job of filing the food and cleaning. We also enjoyed the use of the pool. It was a nice option to have, as it was rainy at times.

Having our towels and garbage taken care of during our stay. We did have to ask a couple of times and then track down housekeeping while they were making their rounds. Once we tracked housekeeping staff down, they were helpful/friendly.

The location and the easy off and back on to the highway. The bed, sheets, and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Everything was clean and the shower was great!!

Nothing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

The hotel and staff were excellent. Great location right off the interstate and only about 10 minutes from the 2 museums we were visiting over the weekend. Breakfast was pleasantly good. Did not realize that the hotel had an indoor pool...otherwise might have brought my swim suit

Ran out of tissues in the bathroom...a very small problem. Otherwise everything was great

Breakfast was well done with good hot food and decent selection of other options. Eating area was large and uncramped unlike many similar hotels.

Room was clean but aging a bit and there were some repairs such as caulking around shower doors that was sloppily done.
