Hallway odor (carpet?) Weather was fine with no air conditioner this past week but each room should have one for the duration of the summer. Would have liked coffee and water in the sitting room. I noticed others had a brief tour upon arrival, I did not and wondered about additional coffee in room and towels.

The Woods Inn is an gorgeous step back in time that we came across by accident. Amazing building with beautiful preservation and restoration! We were heading through a pretty messy snow event on our way from Saranac to home (Attica, NY) and decided to get a place to stay overnight till the storm passed. We booked a spa tub room online at the Woods Inn. When we arrived, we were a bit early, but found that the front desk was handling everything remotely through their ring doorbell. We were directed through the check in process, but found that the room set up for us was actually not yet available. We are pretty easy going people (plus we were early) so we decided to head over to Old Forge and have some lunch and watch the rest of the football game while they set about fixing up a room. While we waited, the management kept in touch with us through texts. He let us know that ultimately, the room would not be available to us at their establishment and instead they were going to be finding us comparable lodging right where we were! We were given a suite room with a Jacuzzi tub at a beautiful hotel in Old Forge. No charge. They went above and beyond generous and we are so very grateful for their help!

The Woods Inn is a classic old Adirondacks hotel in easily one of the loveliest little towns within the blue line of the entire park. Situated on the end of Fourth Lake, with a gently cascading hill and plenty of wood chairs to enjoy the vista from. Our first night it poured as a storm rolled in but we were able to enjoy the Nature Show from the massive covered porch. The Woods Inn is a hotel dripping with charm and character. It perfectly fits within the true Adirondacks character of Inlet. A bonus is a large regulation and free to play slate pool table in the ground floor in a room adjacent to the cool bar (good beer on tap - including Utica Club if you really want to go back in time. Wonderful staff and beautifully maintained grounds and building. Book ahead. Recommendations for Inlet are favorites Mary’s Bakery (exceptional donuts - especially the maple and very good scones), Northern Lights Ice Cream (real gelato as good as you can get outside Italy) and Blue Line Cafe (for coffee) all three within a couple minutes walking distance.
The first floor rooms get a bit of the restaurant noise from below but this ends by about 10.

Great location to town. Beautiful waterfront. Beautiful views. Old hotel charm. While we were there for three nights, it was after prime season so fairly quiet. Had a restaurant but wasn't open. Had a tavern with food and drink open Thurs thru Sunday so only got to experience it once for a drink but nice.
The screen on our bedroom window needed to be fixed. Other than that, great.

We enjoyed the Beautiful Lakeview and the peacefulness of sitting on the lawn watching the boats and the children playing in the water and then ducks that would come visit just to get a little snack.
The bed in our room was very high very hard to get into for a short person. The toilet is very low especially for the ones who have a handicap best fits a child height. The bathtub is also very high to step into the shower head shoots water everywhere really need a new one. My next visit I will ask for a handicap room.

It was a comfortable place to take a respite. The room was beautiful with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was exceptional and friendly.
My room was on the top floor with no elevator. This was clearly communicated throughout the descriptions of the Inn so I knew I would need to climb stairs before arriving.

The care by the staff was exceptional! The cleanliness and service to their guests made us grateful! Views of the lake from the Inn brought serenity…I was fortunate to meet both owners: Nancy and Charlie who run an amazing place to stay! I’m going back with my Sister Jeannie!
Not having breakfast available because the place in town was temporarily closed for maintenance! But the cooks at Inn made delicious lunches & dinners!

I cant complain at all....it was late notice and I only had 2 rooms to choose from....I plan to come back and book a lakeside room and then I can rate it. Location, restaurant and added features such as the bar were outstanding. Big kudos to the bar tender waitress. She gave us info on getting a late dinner and then brought it down to the docks where we enjoyed a great meal, view and a sunset. Cant wait to come back.

I loved the view and how close to everything it was. Lots of things in walking distance. The bar was enjoyable at night. The room was cozy and the jacuzzi was nice.
The bed had a dip in one side. Needs to be replaced. They need wall air conditioning in more rooms, it was way too hot some nights. And some of the staff wasn’t that friendly and kind of stand offish.

advertisement was deceptive to what was received, amenities were terrible for price paid, I have been to places with true advertisement and well worth the money. It made it difficult to enjoy (except), for local dining, shopping, scenery. Unfortunately for us; it was a bad choice . I will not recommend this place to friends and family.
