Hampton Inn Elmira/Horseheads

I requested a late arrival because I had an early flight the next morning. I was visiting family and didn’t want to disturb them in the middle of the night. You are always told to be at the airport a full 2 hours before your flight leaves. When I said that I would only be in the room for a few hours as I needed to be at the airport by 4am, the gal who checked me in said, “I don’t think the airport even opens that early!” I finished giving her my ID and card for incidentals and proceeded to my room. A few minutes later, my hotel telephone rang, the gal had looked up the time of the airport opening for me. What a blessing to have someone go the extra mile to help me! This was so kind and helpful, it allowed me an extra hour of sleep in the comfy bed in my room.

No complaints, it was a quick but good stay.

Always clean and comfortable

When I went down to get coffee early in the morning my room key didn't work upon my return. The front desk person didn't believe me and asked for my ID which was in my room. Needing to explain myself multiple times, another staff member came over and handled her and the situation with grace, fixed my room key, and sent me on my way.

The breakfast is the only thing that's mediocre. I appreciate the effort, but it's below standards. However, this is not so important in my evaluation. Everyone, and I mean everyone, on the staff--from the front desk to the housekeepers, was bright, cheerful, and friendly. It made our stay very enjoyable.

The breakfast. The sausage seemed undercooked, and I would appreciate a better quality of yogurt. But again, this is not what I will remember about our stay. It's the people who work there, and they were superlative.

I've never stayed at a hotel where the stay was more accommodating! Hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure all of my rooms and changes to rooms were taken care of! They were even more than accommodating for our large truck and trailer.

There was nothing not to like.

The room was clean and large enough. The staff very friendly and helpful. This is the best hotel I found so far in the area. Located near the mall and restaurants. Most probably return on my next business trip.

we have an issue with beds, usually too hard. that was the case this time. other than that, every thing was fine and Shereese at the front desk was lovely.

Breakfast, location and the staff were all great! Everyone was very friendly and my kids loved the pool.

Our room seemed a bit dated, wasn’t as fresh and new looking as the common areas or other Hampton Inns we have stayed at.

Sadly it was grab and go not the buffet but that is more due to Covid than the hotel . That being said they were great about changing cereal for the kids and getting chocolate milk.the breakfast was filling.

Nothing it suited our needs and the staff was great. We had the pool to ourselves and swim three different times during our stay.we had a great time

The staff were great with everything we asked for . The room was very clean. The pool and Sauna area were also very clean

The Hotel was closed for over a year due to Covid. I thought the price per night was a little high. I understand the hotel needed to make up for lost revenue, but trying to get all at once is not the way to do it.

The breakfast was poor. Understand scaling back with Covid. However, only thing available was a few boxes of cereal and breakfast sandwiches. No condiments. Receptionist retrieved frozen bagels bagels...no butter. Better to advise of limitations or state Bkf not available. Not Hampton Inn standard, from our experience as an Honors Member..
