Motel 6-Santa Fe, NM - Downtown

Great location. Only a couple blocks walk from the Amtrak station. Only two blocks from a Whole Foods grocery store. Under a mile walk to all the downtown museums and shops and sites around the Santa Fe plaza. Great housekeeping service and the bed very comfortable. You could adjust the heat/ac yourself. I never heard a sound from other rooms - and I stayed a week. A great value for a budget hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. I had a room in the back away from the busy street, so street noise was not an issue, just a background hum. The lock on my door was a little sticky, but I got used to it.

For me, this is the best value hotel in Santa Fe. It looks like a regular, non-glamorous Motel 6 from the outside, but it is SO much better than many Motel 6's we've stayed at. Here are reasons I love this place: 1) great location, easy walk to lots of restaurants day and night, easy walk to Santa Fe Farmer's Market, and a pretty quick drive to anywhere else in Santa Fe. 2) Bring your dog with no extra pet fee. 3) No carpet in the rooms (the carpet in some Motel 6's is scary) - just nice tile or laminate or something that has always been super clean. 4) I find the beds comfortable and the white bedding reassuring. 5) Rooms are decent sized, not too tiny. Refrigerator and I think also a microwave. I've stayed with a family of 4 + dog, and it's not to cramped. 6) We've never had a security issue here, even when traveling with a car top carrier and skis.

No complaints! I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here for a romantic weekend in Santa Fe. We come a lot for youth sports and pass through on our way to visit relatives in Colorado. For that, it's totally perfect.

Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and it's a very chill area with lots to do nearby. I am relocating to the area and this is definitely a very clean and affordable motel while looking for my new apartment. I definitely appreciate that it's pet friendly as well. No laundry room here but there is a laundry mat within a few miles so not too bad, also a park is close by where you can walk your dog in morning too!

No laundry room, also no floor rugs so went and purchased a few during my stay. The lighting in room makes my eyes uncomfortable but it's not bad, just prefer softer lighting.

It was an easy check-in process, with free parking. The bed was comfortable and came with a bunch of pillows, and the room had everything I needed. This place is no frills, but it was exactly what I was looking for, for a night in Santa Fe. And it's within walking distance of the Plaza, so I felt like I was right in the action and could go to galleries, restaurants, and shops all by foot.

It's no frills, so don't expect a ton of amenities. For the price, it's a great deal. The cleaners did start vacuuming relatively early the next morning, so I woke up to that.

We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay here - we've stayed in Motel 6 around the States before but this one was one of the nicest. The rooms had been renovated smartly, the front desk staff were chatty and helpful, and the location was very close to central Santa Fe. I had pretty low expectations given my other stays at Motel 6, but this was very good value for money considering the rooms were nicer than usual. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Santa Fe.

Not much to complain about to be honest, we were very happy with our stay.

it was clean, the location was great (could walk to the grocery store in under 5 mins), it had a fridge which was nice to store our food for later. the staff was very nice and informative.

it was supposed to have a microwave as well, as listed on their website that every room has a fridge and microwave but did not. the bed was hard and made us sweat even though the a/c was on. the a/c temperature would fluctuate on it's on.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I could see she was very busy but she was courteous and patient with everyone. The room was adequate and clean and very good for its price. Hotel was within 5 min walk to Whole Foods, from which we got a meal and snacks, and Sage Bakehouse, with excellent bread and coffee.

Location is slightly far from the main attractions. We are good walkers and we didn't mind too much but i imagine it can be a problem for some, since parking in the down town area can be difficult and expensive.

Air conditioning not cold, and there was not much water pressure. Rooms are clean enough but could use some maintenance.

Simple and clean enough. The hardwood floors was a good choice to keep the place not smelling old. Lots of space.

Possibly too simple and the furniture seem very cheap. The walls are extra thin so you can hear everything in the neighboring rooms including their TV and movements. We stayed during the winter so we needed to use the heater. There was no curtain guard so the header kept blowing the curtain which let light in so the room was super bright as the sun came up.

Excellent off-season rate, easy walk to the historic center. Everything was clean, the fridge worked well. Sunrise view was nice as well. The bed had a foam topper that was very comfy. Shower was water-saving but plenty hot.

Despite being very clean, the room had a mild sour odor upon arrival...dead mouse in wall? Thankfully the window opened for ventilation. The boulevard traffic made earplugs necessary, and the curtain didn't block the parking lot lights very well.
