Everything about this hotel just is lovely and comfortable, Mr Kenny is the owner and is more than willing to go a couple of extra steps just to help you and make the stay more comfortable in anyway possible, I stayed their for almost 3 weeks and I loved my queen room Clean, spacious, daily housekeeping upon request,tv with subscription, endless supply of coffee and ice (free), vending machines available as well My room was quiet even though it was on the street I highly recommend it for short or long stays in Avenel,NJ

Ligthing Location (nothing within a walking distance must have a car or uber) Larger window would be amaazing But with everything I would gladly go over and over

-Very Clean -Nice Staff -Quiet and lowkey We had an amazing stay at Horizon inn! Our spa tub room was completely renovated and we loved the fireplace and smart tv! So easy to watch whatever streaming service you like. Rooms are very soundproof and we enjoyed peace and quiet. The owner of the hotel I presume called to check in with us about arrival time and was waiting for us when we got to the desk. He even showed us 2 different rooms, and showed us how everything worked and let us have our pick! I would highly recommend to anyone looking in the area!

We needed a hotel close enough to Newark Airport with free parking. When we approached the hotel it didn't look appealing from the outside, but the room was better than we thought. We arrived slightly early, needing to drop off our luggage and go straight out to see a band in Red Bank. The room wasn't quite ready but we were given a choice of rooms and were allowed to leave our luggage. The man who checked us in showed us to our room, helped with the luggage and finished making up the room himself. Excellent service! Although we didn't stay long enough to make use of them, there was a TV, fridge and a microwave. There was a coffee machine in the hallway.

We only had a very short stay so there was nothing really we didn't like. The entrance to the hotel came suddenly as we saw the sign from the road and we could easily have missed it. There is no lift and it wasn't easy to drag heavy luggage up the stairs, but we were given help, which was much appreciated.

I would highly recommend this hotel as it has several factors and reasons to vouch for, first of all I have never ever come across with very welcoming, nice, calm and care taking host and their cozy colleagues, who had also helped and supported us in our every move whenever we needed, whom I met during my 3-night stay along with my family. This hotel is in a nice location just adjacent to the Broadway along with parking facility. The room I had stayed in was excellent and comfortable as well as very neat & clean, and very spacious. It has got everything from beautiful & tidy bedding to nicely designed modern bathroom as it seemed like recently upgraded, wall mount heater-air condition fitted below window, ample number of lights with power outlets for charging computers and cell phones. Moreover, staff members were very supportive and cooperative, who were very prompt providing all kind of services, whether it is carrying bags or anything else right from the check-in to check-out. Apart from this, there was a free coffee machine in the hallway on the second floor along with the ice and vending machine having chips and soft drinks. I do really appreciate the hospitality that had been offered to us by the amazing host and their team members. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit.

Every thing was worthwhile and value for money. Nothing bad at all.

Owner was very polite and super easy to deal with, and the room was big, modern and super clean! For $100/ night - this was an great deal. Honestly - I would expect to undoubtedly pay $150-$175 for this room. As for the overall value and price - 10 out of 10 in my mind. Worth every penny.

I got there near midnight and there were 2/3 seedy looking guest/people "hanging around" outside, looking a tad suspicious. I also regularly heard people walking in the hallway during the night outside my room until I woke up. As a grown man, it didn't really bother me. However, I would be bit more concerned for a sole traveling female guest.

The location is excellent. Horizon Inn is 40 minutes by Train from Newyork to Avenel; and the Motel is just 10 minute's walk from the train station. The Horizon Inn is located in a very quiet, leafy area which I liked the most. The manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful; they even allowed me to use their mobile phone to make a call to a restaurant for food as my phone didn't work. The room was clean and spacious enough. Good value for money.

I did not find anything to complain about.

The aura and cleanliness of this hotel is outstanding. They have both smoking and non smoking rooms. I always book the smoking one. They have WIFI available, and a big flat screen that can tilt and lean in the position that you please. The staff treats you like royalty, this place feels like an absolute oasis, with newly remodeled rooms that have huge jacuzzis and a killer fireplace !!!!!! This is definitely worth way more than the price!

I LOVED EVERYTHING.

These people are so amazing, So nice and helpful. Before I could ask a question they already had a solution. I stay in hotels every week and I am just a number to most places i stay, but not here, They made my stay here so nice and I will remember this place out of all of the places I stay. If and when I am around Newark again I will book my stay here.. even If I have to drive a little further it is so worth it.. I never would have expected to find such a nice place in this area..

I loved it all, this place is amazing

First off, 100% recommended staying here, and I'll very likely stay again. Staff was friendly. I was greeted with a smile. The clerk was very helpful. I initially booked a queen bed with a hot tub; the clerk was kind enough to ask Mr if inprefered a hot tub with a mirror or without and took me to see the difference. The room I picked had a king bed and he upgraded me without charging extra. Room was very spacious and clean. The floor surprised me as it wasn't carpet, but a hard floor. Bed was fairly comfortable. AC was struggling a bit to keep the right temperature. TV was working perfectly. The hot tub was also working perfectly, though I think the jets or something need cleaning as they shot out a little bit of built up dirt. There's free coffee in the hallway on the second floor! Along with the ice and vending machines.

Don't have any real complaints. Only things that were "wrong" were small things in the category if 'normal wear and tear.'

Customer Service was exceptional. The rooms were newly renovated and super clean. The bed was very comfortable. A beautiful electric fireplace that changes color and blows heat as well if you'd like. Also the fireplace had built in surround sound speakers that attached to a lovely LG smart tv and me and my fiance enjoyed some netflix and chill ;) To top it off the jacuzzi was nice and clean and also new full of bubbles. We really enjoyed our stay and will for sure be back soon. :)

The internet didn't work our second night so we had to watch cable tv. But they did allow us to check out at 12 instead of 11 am free of charge.
