Coos Motor Inn

staff was very friendly both at check in and check out..we only stayed one night, we had taken the kids to Santa’s village, it’s a 3 hour drive each way for us so we just wanted to break up the trip & rest after a long day. We weren’t looking for all the bells and whistles, in hindsight I think I was hoping my kids would have been more worn out so I do kind of wish I chose a place with more for them to do, but that was completely on me because I looked at a lot of places. This was one of the most affordable ones, and I am the person who reads all the reviews which is why I wanted to be sure to write one too. in my opinion almost all the negative reviews I read, we did not encounter any of those issues. The room was clean, the carpets are all brand new, they were actually working on some other areas as we were checking out, a lot of the furniture was new from what I can tell from the old pictures, there is a small coffee pot in the room, which truly you don’t even need because they do serve breakfast in the morning from 6:30-9 I believe we’re the times…no it’s not a gourmet feast, but there was coffee, tea, juice & milk, cereal, muffins, donuts, oatmeal, English muffins, bread & toaster. I felt like that is more than enough and worth the price you’re paying for the night. my kids were fed and happy and we were on our way back home afterwards. I would definitely recommend it here.

The nicest staff!! They are friendly, accommodating, and helpful! Rooms are spacious. Clean (even though it may not appear that way due to the age of some of the furnishings/fixtures, etc). Plenty of parking. TV, microwave and fridge along with the console that they are in are all in great condition! Hair dryer worked perfectly.

The age of the hotel is catching up with itself. Showing wear on the outside as well as inside. Furnishing could be updated. Clutter in Porte-cochere, behind the reception desk, and lobby area should be cleaned up. Carpets in rooms need to be steam cleaned right up to the baseboards. The shower/tub in room 206 needs to be updated/replaced. All lighting - especially over the sink area, should be updated! Using a handwritten sign for the elevator is tacky and shows that care for some standard details is taking a back seat....

Location of the hotel is good. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms with fridge and coffee maker. Clean bedding and towels. This is the only decent, affordable hotel in a 50-mile radius of Lancaster... so I would like to think that the owners will keep it maintained and cared for....

The outside of the hotel is starting to look a little tired. The inside lobby/public areas could be less cluttered (I've been staying at this hotel since it opened and though it's clean, it has become somewhat cluttered over the years). Our room was good... the carpets were vacuumed, but there were random stains on the carpet and you could visibly see where the vacuum wasn't hugging the wall to remove dust/dirt - as you could see the dust band around the baseboard... there were also stains on the couch and chair.... the lighting needs to be updated over the sink and just in general... and the tubs/showers, though clean, did not look clean due to wear.

All surfaces were well clean and even the light switches and door knobs were wiped down. You can tell the rooms were recently updated. The staff were really nice and understanding.

The bathroom tub was cleaned but it was still dirty a bit(cause it stains easily with water). I just cleaned it myself, and still used bath sandals. I'm a bit of a germaphobe so this may not be an issue for anyone and I didn't have a huge issue with it.

I liked the location of the Inn, right in downtown Lancaster and within walking distance of shops. I love the staff, they are always glad to see me and they are quick to address any issues I might have. I gave lower marks this time for cleanliness and facilities only because they are in the process of installing new furniture throughout the Inn and there were boxes laying about. Normally the Coos Inn is spotless. Due to COVID, the continental breakfast is not available.

The breakfast was just ok. I was disappointed in the lack of a coffee maker in our room. It stated there would be one. Also, I requested early check in and was not given that.

I was expecting a coffee maker in the room? There wasn't one. Also, as i staed above, I requested a few hours early check in , also was not able to do that.

Very friendly, quiet and comfortable, glad to be able to find a room with two double beds so we could easily travel with our child, often we can only find rooms with 1 King nowadays.

Not as flexible with checkin times as we were looking for, but we understand this is a rural area and we accommodated their checkin times just fine with a few tweaks to our schedule.

I checked in around 5:00 PM and found my key in an envelope at the front desk. Could not find any employees! I've stayed at Coos more than a few times over the last year so I knew my way around. Still no free Continental breakfast as the room was filled with old furniture stacked up on top of each other. The room was warm, clean and comfortable..and quiet so all was great!

Greeted promptly, quick check in and check out, clean room and property, there was a microwave available in the caffe. Had plenty of towels

I was told we have a microwave in my room, that was not the case. Also the caffe was closed except for the communal microwave and 2 poorly stocked vending machines.

The room was large with a big king sized bed. Parking was adjacent.to our room and there were plenty of nearby places to eat. Staff were friendly. The small breakfast area didn't get crowded while we were there.

The room decoration could do with brightening up a bit.
